Duties
0 ` B7 M+ p% H4 P jAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
; V6 x9 A, b, D7 K hProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
3 n/ `/ x2 H; f) [) }+ wPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
; @% j& P! \" c9 {# kPerforms related tasks as needed6 k. t: r: h, R T% \. X4 M' C9 `( G% i
Qualifications
4 V! W& i4 f/ Z/ `, DDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred0 ^3 G" e" D* D. y' S9 m
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
3 U& ^8 X; U0 g* _Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset' V0 ?" C+ R$ b& w5 h4 I
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred4 S" g/ V% s8 [ p! u. S U9 D
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit7 @. b, @$ @+ a2 t$ U8 C& ?" {
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages0 ^. r9 q3 J2 h K7 T
Ability to adapt in a high technology research environment
