Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)$ D N, C: _ Z& I
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required# P. d) E9 N: }: y6 O9 R" D
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed$ z; J% L+ B! S
Performs related tasks as needed3 }" c2 B3 A( W
Qualifications
, W# P# Z. k# u! z7 IDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred; C3 j8 j# C* v9 v. g* [
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred$ n! L L) p0 z s0 X& `
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
8 Z, ^ v; b k( C$ Z4 FKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
' u4 ~5 x3 H7 t( zFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
