移民签证时护照的有效期限

申请技术移民，今年7月初在edmonton体检，一直在等待。
前几天突然想起明年3月现在的护照就过期了
, O9 h* M" V3 m! R请问如果近期收到passport request，寄去做移民签证的话，是否护照有效期必须是6个月以上呢？

应该不用的吧，没有哪个地方说护照有效期要有6个月的。
这个是具体要求：

Passport Requirements:

- }4 t0 T2 M( eWe require an original VALID passport for yourself and every accompanying family
* u( O' s7 q5 d% ?  P' q' C/ Emember. Passports for you and all accompanying family members should be submitted
together.

There must be at least two blank visa pages in each passport.

8 @+ D  m# P4 d" g7 fIf there are children included in your passport there must be visa pages for them as well.

Please note: Immigrant visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military
