Key Responsibilities & Duties:

. B% B; |9 f0 {0 j5 m) y Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
$ @7 C+ m5 W& T& k Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
$ N* c. g$ u6 Y+ b Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
& O; }# o' a1 M6 ?, p9 j( d; Q Completing required paperwork.
7 P/ j% y# k2 r1 ~$ p( m$ h Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
+ J# ]" Q3 V9 s' L Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.( a8 r3 A4 w& ^3 ^
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. $ U+ e% A' n6 |& E
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.$ l. Q" u+ \5 o2 E, @* |- l
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.+ X! Y% l( d# R9 u* f

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
7 i9 I2 Y8 l$ o! ^. N! x d+ V g Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
I, q9 l0 v+ B. }" ?; F Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. O& R- Y! D3 Q- j5 d. e9 e Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 a T: L, o# Q8 p* X- [ Knowledge of community resources.! N7 k1 v: a6 m7 m" ?6 W3 g ]
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
/ D7 `$ a; k0 m; m8 ^- J7 u Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 2 t2 d Z- z6 m0 y

Position:+ @9 r2 G: K( `/ b# T z( I: o
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
! E5 O7 U& G+ a9 b# a7 k gThere is a 3-month probationary period.
