Key Responsibilities & Duties:

( E* x9 @( l  B7 O Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: q' m& _! O2 X; T: q1 W4 o Completing required paperwork.
4 S3 G! j4 ?8 p" Z Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
9 H) W$ b, D2 O. G/ z; ^* l Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
" _# K1 Q+ j& F. e: p9 s. @7 ? Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
& ^8 }3 O$ ^2 m$ a# n. }5 {1 ~ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

5 r3 P" j( M4 A
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
! l0 y- u4 a( } Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
3 I2 Z# H6 `* l8 u) }3 K+ U1 C Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
6 n& t: l7 s- q. E' c7 D Knowledge of community resources.
* U: F8 M, A: ~ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
