5 I. M; a% h- W+ A, V9 I5 u/ ? Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
S3 L$ h9 i2 K/ I! j/ S Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
0 u1 N$ z6 `1 G6 p# h7 V Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.# M: M& }+ q2 S! T$ \% `
 Completing required paperwork.
7 K, }% m) ^. V( [2 s Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 I* ~ l9 [4 ]. u Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.+ U6 {/ H6 z1 |7 _* j
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
5 K! n( u# H9 N4 O5 g3 c- \7 Q2 V Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
4 G" F2 m; P' p4 W Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

5 K! P0 ?" R# r6 O; `3 v# f( B Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( p4 K+ ^( |1 U/ v Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
8 T- X$ `/ X2 U Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth./ @; U3 i3 d- {. c2 u R
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.2 I; Q6 Z* v0 \" Q
 Knowledge of community resources.4 s0 t( M$ ]4 C# x4 p
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.$ Z- x2 ~3 m; M, n
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. ' o# D/ p8 @1 z7 v9 G
There is a 3-month probationary period. 9 S s& R: b% I- v1 G
