% L  u. \# o7 G5 J Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
. |2 h5 g7 \7 J$ I% \/ M Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
/ y3 b+ L5 o+ s! q/ b9 w Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
2 w4 T5 ^+ i: V# k Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
+ j5 R! d8 V$ y% L- q8 p! |" M Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
- l* r0 l; @, x: M# v0 \9 L Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
3 K, W2 |! n, c& I Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
" R( d1 d% X. L6 K0 e" h& p7 A Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
& {( O+ n6 p+ ], j4 r Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
+ B( p" k5 G. s( z% w! } Knowledge of community resources.
6 q% f$ s. n0 Z+ u Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
' ~6 B; @, s( Z) M0 V Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
' T. x/ Z6 c- u' J( Q+ }3 GThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
