Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  l) H+ S7 n; u& n+ W" ZWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
8 W% C% j% H5 v. S4 K; IResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

( o( y4 s3 [, @$ P$ jQualifications

. l; I9 k; s" w! l1 I& jGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
7 C& G; x& O/ ?# H* d! rMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
# X! r* t6 U7 M5 M" DExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
5 m; I! N- ^/ d2 G, ?! [# H4 DUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
4 V/ Z; V9 N% ?Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
4 z3 ~2 k. l2 f: aAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
