Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
4 O( T; }) n5 A& wReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
8 S3 m+ O' m3 c* k3 i' _/ uResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
9 e7 o. ]5 M$ o, h. `7 gMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

) C) s% c7 ]3 Y5 MQualifications

Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
1 M- s. i1 k; y! ]* ^  WMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
/ c6 {: d/ R- V, @: O+ d. I* _' KMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
' v4 b7 ~9 F0 Y! Y7 l: m! qExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
1 o" l2 }8 B0 _( mCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
! |2 a+ @4 K7 V  @+ HAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
