Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
4 O3 V( C, m$ p' ^. fReview, develop and improve processes and procedures 4 g6 ^1 G o& C/ [: ^) H$ j
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
, J" W( `# b+ w, @9 `Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients ; n0 v6 r5 @# q% G/ A+ Q! B

: B9 k' L0 H# tGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman ( S5 D% C. `; `& r b+ R. M3 i
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
9 S$ j+ h" y- q5 v# AMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman 4 x1 d3 Q' V1 p; S
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset # _3 ~+ _+ f- `
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process $ \6 Y& E% a0 U4 F
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects ) n- ?6 r+ R7 C% k- J
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
" A* u) M$ G$ r% mAbility to communicate with all levels of management . ~1 V- P& `$ }4 t1 o) k
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
