An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

# K" T9 _  m# V; k' eMajor Responsibilities:
' V( p; s5 I6 a& n' x  Q•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
3 e" ~# k7 |- d1 o( G$ V" m+ b•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
7 X! u+ m  d  e% S3 |•        Others.

Qualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
4 i! P0 o9 j& i7 b3 \5 Y•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
2 y! V) L" B$ i5 g•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
