- q4 M6 b; f3 K4 o1 u Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
6 c: `) g8 M, j Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
8 J- z5 z) s0 o4 k Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
1 @" J8 a& D0 ^% P Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
% `9 Q! S4 ?$ f4 ^5 C& s) l+ A6 ] Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& E! ]! K0 \: V& O3 `, o Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
: `2 X2 G( B: X6 Z/ u Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
& N3 q3 a" N7 L" n5 I6 a Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
/ p: {9 P0 S+ {0 Q  ?7 s
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
2 W- S$ l' v4 r Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
  J& x' Q! R' p$ e Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
8 W7 j0 X- ^- Q% X& H/ ]$ r Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
+ t0 D. |/ \; i5 B6 }' {# s Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
