Key Responsibilities & Duties:

& n* t% u) X6 o; O2 H Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
7 n: ?1 C) S5 _4 p Completing required paperwork.
# ?" e! W7 k6 ` Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
7 d# R0 F4 A# B3 z% `$ o6 O7 G' I, [8 z Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
; x5 e5 C7 L! T6 p( h8 d7 ?! S7 h Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
; k( ?+ o) N- ?# p
" [+ Y, D) v, z# x( z. m# w Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 i' G+ [$ v; e' b0 C Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
2 F7 B7 i* d$ R; J5 m. w Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
- K8 \/ A4 l& x. E! L9 U( W/ Q Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# o/ D+ o- H0 `. R0 t Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

8 J. n7 B* ^$ @; w4 O4 VThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
8 P, n( B1 K* b# B" [starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
