& L1 H( I$ b4 J/ Y3 }5 M0 O6 U5 KPrimary Purpose: Working primarily with local immigrant communities and community leaders to help them understand and engage with the communities. Nature of Work: Reporting to the Director of Settlement and Integration, the Community Development Manager is responsible for the overseeing, development and implementation of EMCN’s community development strategies.

Key Accountabilities: provide leadership training/recruiting of community practitioners to network with existing immigrant/refugee community based organizations; support them to enhance their skills and services; assist immigrant and refugee communities through training/workshops in board development, volunteer recruitment, strategic planning & community engagement; establish & maintain relationships between EMCN and immigrant/refugee communities.

1 I* B; n, Q2 A8 Q7 TPLUS: assist immigrant/refugee communities with identifying community needs through a needs assessment; act as a liaison between immigrant/refugee communities + mainstream organizations in order to improve awareness/understanding of the challenges facing immigrant & refugee communities; writing funding proposals and submitting reports/evaluations. Qualification: University degree or diploma in a related field such as Community Development, Economic Development, Human Ecology, Volunteer Management or related. Experience: Five plus years of Community Development experience.
