SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
+ m: C0 p2 E9 @" woperation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
7 N: M' D7 _& Ythat the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
* K7 M4 c8 B( a9 V; f$ u. ~. F) h4 Rthe Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
' n, R  t# h" c/ g" P; B1 Z! v0 vCustomer Service
3 _2 _: |8 z% r6 _8 d3 V% Y• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
% c' H1 V: z8 r• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
7 D5 u: ]) [* d3 f: L" F, q• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
+ A6 X) Y* q/ p• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
8 P/ G1 ^8 L3 A• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)
• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager

9 C6 z1 `. ^- M) m! d% l, d• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
# f2 w; x( O* e5 h7 E1 E• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies

1 z& j8 q6 ~0 P9 I( [/ q, X1 [2 `• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
' ]" q7 _) f8 ]• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
: m/ p" J6 D% e) g• Comfortable climbing ladders
