MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

! g/ |( N& U  A! ~3 C6 CKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
) {! w! ]/ T( O4 h# i        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
! ^2 Q) h% `* @( \% J( f7 m        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

1 j/ ^  h( j: g% q+ pQUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
" Z- v$ ?& O. z•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
