Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

: f0 {" Y E% U" g1 E* E" t0 u# P Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects' r6 J) E/ ~: ?1 w
 Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
. _0 |4 v# g1 ?. V( ~: J Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs$ ?5 L, b h' v8 w0 ~% q
 Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients/ G# S" K; S: S+ o" w
& c0 H6 M: N8 v4 g* M0 b' P# bQUALIFICATIONS: # {# |4 C P; f* m) c' w9 G
• Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
1 V& J/ b& {5 q) `: D• Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings6 U+ z/ o7 i( n% n7 d
• Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman3 Z) }& b4 V7 G8 @3 ]
• Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
2 D5 V9 p1 j T/ N• Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process: b a, ]7 i0 h M
• Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
) t' G: k4 K9 X$ N b! y• Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
$ \# m8 e: Q6 L! b# r" t8 ~7 F/ \• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
