MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

. G- d$ X- k( q( P- aKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
+ Q& @6 n. k8 s" |0 F% m& d        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
3 N8 ]7 l9 ~$ x6 F        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
/ e) b' @4 W- Q% K( C•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
4 D: y! d* d# ^8 h9 [•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
( H7 ?6 H( w! X; s•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
4 {. B! i3 i- \" L•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
