2 X0 P% A4 p1 \0 }- Q6 G1 jRecruit Participants

+ M, O" z. @& T9 b5 b( x, G* ~-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
- C2 l8 i6 H/ J$ a/ c* @  ~-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

0 i, X) S' j* g0 d3 k, W9 cOrganize Leadership Training Sessions
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas

+ f# b3 R7 C/ P, X4 uPlan and Facilitate identified public events
-        with youth participants

Media coverage
) M  q/ W$ |9 O& F' ^. L, C-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking
-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
8 c" Y/ |6 g6 H; D4 A, A2 L-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

Professional Development
-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

Proposal Creation
/ L0 C; K2 M* H* p% h-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

/ G" U6 W/ P5 KReports to Funders and Program Manager
- F4 r: h# j3 ]0 [2 w& D-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

Project Evaluation
: O$ d5 s( L' x7 s  W-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

9 s) _5 o4 v  i+ l" x/ i2 Q! y-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
-        experience with project coordination
! I- R  j! r3 l2 Z8 i-        degree or diploma in human services field
" x  _7 Z! t0 L% M( _-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
