Position:         Project Coordinator
Location:         Edmonton
Salary:         $40,462 - $56,410 per year, depending on education and experience.
Full benefits and pension plan.

Job Description:

  N' ?: b1 ?8 {/ C! T
-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
' A  h3 A8 c* l! c2 }-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities
* g, U& F' C$ j
1 |$ U- {, c4 j: F- ~Organize Leadership Training Sessions
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
6 h. p% q  M5 s+ R+ y8 }-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas
: }2 ~" t) ?2 O  G& l
Plan and Facilitate identified public events
# b1 {4 `: R7 l1 e* Q! u! v+ P+ r4 `-        with youth participants

, Y: {. \+ y$ l/ T6 YMedia coverage
-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking

3 e" F3 d1 |. U5 o+ C6 W-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

0 p$ w' F& C% SProposal Creation
# h7 d% `, t  V/ k+ x! N-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
, \- r4 X8 G. R- k8 B7 J-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

; x. d! ~8 w/ P9 w- k  ^( iReports to Funders and Program Manager
-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

: H9 V4 ~# Z) D( pProject Evaluation
-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
# n0 Y) N2 [6 c3 q1 ?-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

, x& F) ?0 z3 [6 U7 lQualifications for this Position

/ n! z0 {3 C& \) P% @1 c/ f-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
-        experience with project coordination
-        degree or diploma in human services field
% a( `. n2 ^: h; g' m6 U-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
