: t$ t+ _3 A5 _3 L- o0 C* q: eAround 2:25 p.m., Edmonton Fire Rescue received two 911 calls to 50th Street and 67th Avenue. One was reporting a fire, the other reporting that someone had been injured at the same location.

- P9 m" v8 I' sFire rescue's Tim Wilson tells iNews880 there was a flash fire in a lab where the chemical Toluene is housed.

"The fire took place in a room at this facility that did have some sort of flammable products stored in there," says Wilson, "and somehow, this ignited and caused a fire."

7 f7 s" @% ^2 h: WWilson says fire rescue responded with trucks from three houses because of the flammable chemicals housed in the building.

8 ?) B0 Z- R$ A/ S"We had eight units on scene, with about 30 firefighters," he says. "The fire was out in just under 45 minutes, and was under control in 15."

% X6 D: W+ b, ^4 X5 nWilson adds one person was injured in the fire.

"When crews arrived there was a male who sustained some injuries during this event who was transported to U of A Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries."
