Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and 7 `: D, S1 L. |# q3 R- |" q4 q
execution of the YWCA Strategy - B. n6 ?8 k1 g; w

; f6 U: e7 X3 s# jthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 7 g v, q1 L; W0 \' D
the Board of Directors;
- A& a( G! A d• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations

enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
, D( {! M" t4 e1 O/ R1 u9 z• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
) u% K9 z' }& `5 q& xthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
% x# b. Q& O# B4 J• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
! K Y7 N" ]$ R) y2 Kchanging needs of the organization and community;
+ i" T7 K" K. ~• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
: x% M, B' n+ k7 ^% T" Ocommitments;
* G" D0 g0 \4 q8 {5 ]6 Z' K• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;

selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring / Y7 V2 a+ @ Z. e7 X
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
, J6 {- h1 Y+ G6 q2 S• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 8 ?: W8 F0 l0 a! Z
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED . A- [5 P. v: F% f# v; z# u! K4 Q
the forthcoming year; * S( x6 R- L5 I
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical - y1 ~ ]- ]5 A3 k+ z
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Experience 5 f( \" P& s- N+ N
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
{# e" O) Z( {2 `• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

) r0 B! k8 v$ U/ k- S• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 4 Y5 Z& ]# h/ F8 b

and financial statements; and
