% i. q2 T1 z: G" b0 o. l' L- }0 I+ fthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by q* Z% @/ f" [

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
# j7 A3 U* G S9 V) kincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
* m; @# H6 l: C2 b/ z! f/ Genable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
. c8 L4 ^/ i- w8 G# E# m" O T• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
! U! _8 ?' f& Yobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 8 a& c# B( [8 V' \
the board;
# V/ b6 O- n% h3 O6 \7 V7 q• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
" K* E- z8 K1 o& l( ?$ s: M' l) a• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
1 q3 z* O% e3 [7 t$ n5 A( Dthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; : t: n2 ]; S$ y2 \7 p9 M( B
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
$ v2 k% r* }5 J8 T+ nchanging needs of the organization and community; 9 @. z0 N* Z3 v8 D& h
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
& {+ u L$ M% Ucommitments;
4 g2 c+ a/ p& @1 l1 n0 _( o8 f• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; " i. R+ `& P) @; g- d
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective , n0 `3 @( Y% D" Y2 x* p
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 3 u e* _- [# }$ g3 b/ U2 @
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
5 e- z+ g. T8 U( O6 Y* Y, n• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
: a' O" r, ~) P0 Y: l+ Vthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
* _0 ]% r. g! M8 i& f) `9 U3 i• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
* u7 C/ x+ P J. V) I. \- Dperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
' o/ y, [' M6 o B. S$ vthe forthcoming year; a& }( R8 ?) `2 c2 l' E. m0 w
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
# C6 B7 B9 F+ V" zpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ! ?: J+ |5 I# \% a9 t8 m# T
YWCA Canada; and

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; }; | b, ~7 {2 ^( m/ B3 J
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
: y+ w0 {$ D) X, A1 Mabilities; / a5 w! ~5 r& d5 v
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
! e( U) J( B2 N( YNetworking and Fundraising; 9 z6 b7 W9 Z c" ?
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 8 R; [* c9 {# S
and financial statements; and % h/ S d; ]; O/ A% b) N
• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women 6 D* M- y2 Y. f
centered perspective.
