The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers- ?- O' [* p. y* P6 f. K8 ?5 s
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution & n0 K! y% X) p9 {* x% H4 g
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
- Y5 i! m. b- e5 L$ G§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
7 L; G8 v, n* P2 q; m§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk0 v1 N9 ?- _* P) ?. ~, P6 t3 A) H
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert( `& V0 g) f& |1 n) [4 z. D
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties! T$ J7 z3 K1 [7 \
§ Special projects as required. Z+ J9 y7 T2 y  s! d
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

! E$ \# L( b. J) {0 V% D  |5 w) D§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
* J$ W; t% r+ X0 L" j7 \§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
  k1 e( N+ k; E: i; g" b. v$ j  y§ Fundamental commitment to customer service3 _5 S0 G2 Y6 P* u+ h
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
9 h% Z3 S) b) d; Y1 n2 V§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
2 z' V7 k  m/ K) V1 l§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
, M5 U* x& z8 u& a7 D: ?' x§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 0 m- V3 P7 z- k

Responsibilities:
1 f  a2 K3 R! k: R( b7 n§ Manage a stable local IT environment , P2 A+ e2 S# b/ l0 X
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
3 ?7 l; ^& f3 l& e- P  \+ V" q§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support/ m9 I* Z3 F7 [. O$ P' a
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
- d  Q$ U# M6 G" k" ^§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
% s: s2 o0 S( O! y, c% n) C, @6 v2 P§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation! k, M; U, {4 v, h: m; @, l
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
, ^7 F! }# A5 F) Q) N' I§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
, Y& E- P) d/ u, L( Z§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
. a* }7 J. b5 x§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures; h; ~& E# j9 B0 [
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan5 P8 ]* {7 _! W7 p
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk  j( G6 s4 i' c% h/ A
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
7 w& b0 L" J' e5 R§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management3 }9 G( r7 `. M
§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
- K3 z9 g6 @- L& a2 {: X  P9 d& y§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT, B, _7 j1 Z4 m  e6 M
§ Coordinate and support end user training
. O3 D( K2 ~6 h) M  ^4 s§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
4 I" s) d% |' P/ D$ U" P: J) p§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

3 S0 k* u& V+ t在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
