The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

: B9 [7 K! B" K. G' o§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers" r( U9 X3 R3 K6 K. L& l
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
) P7 M. D' R; _( _( h& X§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
4 C8 M4 f* ^6 N# J+ V§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
9 c9 p: Z( [) U4 O+ _, c§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
: N, z2 v) q+ J5 k$ c2 {§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Special projects as required

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
; J) a% z9 B6 X4 X  Z/ @7 F# s* }§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision  z9 Z( T! o& b* v; S# J
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
$ {& D% m. a& N$ e§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
( ^- k# T" C) Z+ g§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
; @+ M' ~3 |: G& ^2 \5 R§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
, ]4 B6 v# S6 R§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
; M+ y- M! L8 l! j§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
$ r; B4 Z, L4 R1 B. P§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports" Q0 x. t, M1 [$ |
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation6 i4 w2 R+ [& W9 L! l6 g% @: m. `) n
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
* {1 s4 y" Y: s3 b7 _; g8 z) J4 P§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
+ S. ?; u& G) R1 @0 t" x8 v0 K§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access6 N3 M; l2 f% J. I
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures3 i' Q0 d$ m# n7 N( V' A
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
4 A! L2 h/ j( V0 l: u7 I( [2 @! b$ X6 r8 x§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk

§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
/ _5 q' y6 N) W( [§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance1 q8 a5 O/ r. H% {* T
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT

§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers, p" T, ^) Z% Q& [# z8 j

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
