The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers1 U* O# m" h1 h. w
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution

§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

T/ N) x, O% X; d4 _§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports# d9 l2 K9 q0 f3 z6 J
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation: O- o4 K3 h) s6 f
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
- U% J2 T1 |# N6 p) T, w3 u§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
1 p# T4 \+ R+ T* M§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access( U! H5 T4 E8 G
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures" G9 O+ j' H; ~$ U9 ^: w( A
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
