The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.) H$ Q3 h$ t2 K' L5 w8 {

Responsibilities:

§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 5 V% l! E! E/ R
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation0 X x; R+ K D
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
3 I- j& _# T# }: {# A% l8 c§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk$ d8 j4 S$ z2 A, h* H) t3 B% X
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
( k& Y# t6 _5 c+ ]# w§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

Qualifications:
0 w8 q2 [* Q5 U$ M/ d! S. i. X3 x§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
+ |8 T5 m y5 x§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
% f" T( a4 W1 _: D0 o6 U& b$ {+ f* }( h§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
6 u: N. c' d3 s5 Y7 c, J§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
( x" C0 M1 Q! p2 S; z- ~3 p§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
' K8 e" Q$ x; E§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
9 \1 ?9 x6 @$ C' l§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems6 V2 i" O/ z. \$ d% n; B( G; `

9 I, _8 p9 S/ KThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support

§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

$ x3 M- { p" Q" |§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to- l- k" g0 A$ S' ?& y$ ^' t
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times) p/ a6 p7 d8 J) M( S/ p2 A% ~+ M3 G
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
