# n3 Y2 @: x: R) v3 p      Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program (ages 6 to 15)
-        Recruit children for summer programs
-        Recruit and train volunteers for summer programs
-        Budgeting and record keeping
6 k) B9 j+ o- E-        Provide orientation for parents
-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

: j9 N( \' N3 l! T! S4 B9 vQualifications:
3 e* @) ~: R( z- J6 y-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
+ P5 z1 \, Q2 S; G& g9 p-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
9 U9 p7 ]$ N$ A, W; Q9 M0 {- `-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
: b4 z5 N. m# O7 [( P1 d9 `9 ?-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
6 ?( l+ Q# [6 a0 V2 C-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Returning student to post-secondary institution in Fall 2010
2 V. N3 a9 t: w( M: Z- O3 B( g% l-        Have current first aid certificate
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
8 w% @7 G; R$ h-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
