Responsibilities:6 u9 R- E$ g J* N8 c
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
$ p6 p+ s; c, c0 G: A) U4 i0 |' B" R- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling% w. t7 f8 z" e3 A
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups$ D. ]- J# f. K. ]9 K T
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
( D' j# D$ R" u- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health) z3 }5 [8 E4 F

- ]& p- g" Z7 z6 kKey Qualifications:
$ G$ P- J' C9 v. e7 j- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
' y" A; l# b9 X; B0 h- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement) t! ~$ n! g2 V' ^
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
; T9 M* Z& Q) M- Experience doing program development; o6 g3 E s2 G& F
- Strong organizational and coordination skills9 E+ y) L# ~4 k
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
: W1 s' U, I+ I- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset, s# S2 r8 C% _; n3 R$ P- x
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
