Responsibilities:
5 x$ |3 N1 y- ~9 J9 w- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth& F- z: g* f) C3 j7 F& G' {* v
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
( I0 S% s4 j E3 Q' a, k1 c- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
1 s, Q4 y( b. Q/ [+ G' J, `& L- S, h- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs8 E8 z3 T5 X, B" v
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

, @0 X3 W2 J& `$ S- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences4 J1 G" H# j+ u3 M& r* P
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
( l3 {+ U+ c2 M+ O- A- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
, ]# e' n$ v; M' ^9 a9 u- Experience doing program development
5 Y3 S3 q2 _! l; W% @- Strong organizational and coordination skills
, v: y6 c8 {, e* o1 K# Y4 @- Self-directed and able to take initiative
. |* ~- X4 p1 W; M4 |5 S- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset. Z7 k o- F6 ]2 F4 y
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation

- Some evening and weekend work may be required
