Responsibilities: F' F' x* ?( G3 g. S, _: p
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth& r+ F: n* y7 v0 d& ]0 A u
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
$ [7 {2 O- J3 g4 c( p+ G- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
4 F6 u% d2 I) w* [ U- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs1 [6 H% h1 v" d9 v- m/ Y
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health, i' ]5 w! ~5 l( R9 S3 P3 ^$ r- l

/ Q2 c2 E8 j9 t( C% RKey Qualifications:
5 G: V2 `6 b' r: j# x; w; g/ w- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
" K. N% N% |5 A6 q! Q9 D- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement/ h4 u4 k4 T i9 W0 @; D" T4 s
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others" t G% c4 m$ `* Y6 t
- Experience doing program development! V9 p; @' G2 Y9 S8 Z, m
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
: L& Q$ q) J' p3 b, P; v- Self-directed and able to take initiative/ V: p& r5 H) d7 y$ S: t
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset/ \& M) M8 R5 @6 ^& a! H" c0 A; W$ K; v
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license4 m. n/ c- c8 g& _5 V! C3 T, L3 B

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
