Responsibilities:
0 c8 ^9 C. J P; t/ L- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
' z& ^0 x& Y% w- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
/ C% o M+ v( [5 [+ K. q- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups3 T6 i, P9 s p& q/ o
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
7 ?3 Q7 Y2 f4 s- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health9 C+ y5 i1 D& e5 V( e; j1 ^
; b2 H) k) J# ^7 L
7 k* a% ]4 o5 GKey Qualifications:" p {+ y$ j" b& x& s
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences0 X7 |) p7 V1 ?: g: l" J4 s) b
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement8 y4 `! e G3 h/ ^1 k
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others5 D: u( r0 k4 T: h
- Experience doing program development) z5 J0 t- U* C7 O1 O
- Strong organizational and coordination skills7 M1 N* |/ P* m( F) t" B0 ^
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
; n; M$ x, {' w+ H) W+ b- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
- i- a; S. [+ b W6 Y2 n- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Some evening and weekend work may be required
