Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
  D6 L1 H% _- ]1 ~( P -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
3 J/ P& m4 f9 }1 [" Y4 p-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
$ O1 l) I: u) Z* e  X- z) w-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
# ^: h; h" [' B1 D8 n5 X" E4 o-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
3 h9 I7 V+ N5 k5 k  z% r-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
! m) ^5 g; Y+ T) \-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
% y* J3 t% O9 {' P! w8 H' O2 F-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
$ ^+ w1 T; g( n9 F! }! ?-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
