2 c9 J; _( y7 A3 }THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
* u8 }! k, \! m# @This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
+ X0 ^; p9 P. L$ \- c•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
& T% w9 j) p3 \0 E; A•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
% m5 v, Y% a% n7 F•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
: v/ G6 V) i! j* e, C•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada

•Lack access to professional networks
3 U# S- X; p; G( w" }•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
+ h& n3 C4 F: V1 e: I* yThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
