4 I5 z9 D7 l1 k6 N7 H$ ^& {( c. ]CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.% _5 o% u! ]3 M

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

2 z& D5 Q5 H( R8 p- O% r• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.7 ~6 y* B+ Y4 S8 C3 o

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.' W! c% b7 g1 b- E

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.. ]$ |! x, G W [& U9 z
0 j- a; p2 f8 ?8 N7 `" u7 C% b( |• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

& n" [: R% P8 d1 I) O: V• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

0 i& B9 I$ m, b5 A+ s0 \• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.( v+ Y0 p- c% r3 u" |% ?" N

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.1 R6 |4 g) Z! ` |
& I p' s0 [9 A1 Q5 a• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions
: p; G, P/ ^) t% ] y( m+ L: K6 B3 e4 \
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.& I2 Z- q( w; s

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting+ ~; C4 b1 } [& P
& F+ _% \" b/ }; D* p- u
• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

' j3 m# z& {5 f/ bSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
