Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.$ O" I2 ~" U' \2 h. F, u

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.! T( r. @( f7 l! L9 u6 `
5 \8 M3 }/ M3 O; d( F8 N' @Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.# L* D6 t4 C7 c; H" j& y
9 o$ c* T6 N- g, f& _2 iPolice say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.

- _# t' e8 ]. b$ Z; q& ^1 @Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
