There is no National Park in Windsor, Ont.5 V$ A0 y9 j7 H: i( C0 j# \
Point Pelee National Park is southeast of Windsor about an hour, near Wheatley, Kingsville and Leamington Ont.6 |5 s% h0 a8 k" {. O9 K V9 N
It is the Southernmost land point of Canada , and other than group camping, is a day use park only.+ H" ?( ^1 n/ K5 y, m) c% _

/ G ]0 @5 Z" A( O8 f! T" ~8 TThe National Butterfly count takes place August 8th, and you can pre-register your family to take part, lots of fun for the kiddies (Too Late).( k3 ]* u; U7 U3 @- a8 G
Great hiking, guides, canoe tours and rentals, bike rentals and the butterfly migration is something to see.
: b" E6 m" A, H% p2 G' H* _4 \9 l) GThe ferry to Pelee Island only runs from Kingsville this year, not from Leamington in case your interested in going on the winery tours and hikes there.

There are also two Provincial Parks within an hours drive- Wheatley Provincial Park(closest), and Rondeau (farther to the west) if you wish to camp. |
