Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
7 A! A1 V4 y( c, [6 h· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
7 R$ D' _# | ?4 D( d2 t7 H. b· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 7 m! P8 \* h2 e( o, Z: ?1 M
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the $ Z. X0 r) G" p, m7 ~2 c, }
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure h/ t8 |8 |* `1 u" x
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. # Z6 M8 |/ y) O4 t5 ?
· Attend and manage Special Events : K, k/ ?- E' `8 f
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee - U. ]3 a& x' E" B% L* B

. n9 k2 W$ c5 U j6 L& e; y8 ^. jAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
5 W* N9 z7 m. B* a· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
) L4 |: }( N% `" U- z/ Y3 k1 ^· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
. J3 i7 v% G' ]. I O* ]8 |· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
9 h6 P; `- B2 O/ ^' V; a B# f! m· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers

Qualifications:
8 d8 H+ d# Q$ m+ d' `7 `' k. {· Completion of 12th
. Q4 a3 D4 _+ i; R0 |1 A Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
9 b; v1 r8 s: z) r: bAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
* M4 D2 ? ]! c4 _# z" B· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
& D/ l" ]- G% l7 I5 d: r7 v) Z) _experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events N# D- D, J. h5 X$ a
· Experience working with and managing volunteers 3 Q- e( J# o8 s: _7 M/ _
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
" e; T- h- y/ D2 y9 O· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
