Duties: Special Events 0 ^" g w. K0 O( Q
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
: A7 V$ f: C7 p( p8 `; W4 @7 d, `3 a· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee 6 S0 q9 O: T/ y3 g0 t
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist # P- e/ R" [5 L/ N5 R; [3 `4 y
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the # R+ I) e* Z$ \
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
, B5 d& W- B0 ^( i5 V% uset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. / [9 r1 {* D! F0 W5 O
· Attend and manage Special Events $ P* E: J, v8 a: X, h
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 6 t ] v2 ]' g$ O8 y. ^& X9 n, H

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
c' e, R7 ~% h( t+ Z3 wAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:

· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
4 ^8 i& o% ?/ S· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 2 ~' u, c# P8 n. R
· Complete program administration, statistics and records ; Z% E) Q! c) i2 a ?' W: k" c

Qualifications:
; W) i b; X, t7 N3 C% {' o· Completion of 12th
" F, t' i& D- {* X1 | Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 0 y6 Y! e% t0 e5 ?" m
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. ( v: j9 V: r/ H3 T
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
+ {/ S) |" Z- a: [2 C+ _experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events 4 @5 t! H0 V) g# ^7 y8 R5 ~9 X
· Experience working with and managing volunteers # S2 V* J. G9 x4 P0 t Y: G* p' d
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
3 b! d( o( h3 M1 G· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
