3 V$ r9 C' h8 ?6 H9 i, \Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events . ]4 ~' }* ~1 d! `9 x
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: : k3 j9 e7 Y- R3 B8 d$ e8 S
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
- F0 \( r1 z2 \4 C* E- _· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
8 g( m3 q6 S9 R, U3 k& T% G7 swith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
7 N5 F; L1 \8 ^: @- O, g! J* R% nadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
4 W- h. {/ Q: }8 W5 aset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 1 T, m$ Y0 z( q8 L
· Attend and manage Special Events ; D4 {% R: Z" H0 q! I) C
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 6 P* X, l3 ^% g! h; p( ?9 v5 e

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
$ _3 P& |/ |4 r2 Z& f0 n3 cAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
0 b; U; j0 T( a+ L: ~· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
4 t( l1 \$ Z) ]0 S· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers / @! S0 a* r: r, c: g ~
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
: K; l4 l2 D6 w `/ x8 j8 a8 [; a· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
* r1 J! ~5 e+ x4 m( T N· Complete program administration, statistics and records $ ]0 N, v) @( R) J

Qualifications: , y5 ^" I" c3 c& Z+ O* d1 p% s8 C& n
· Completion of 12th
" q9 K$ u M/ \( ^' @6 s- H Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
9 T% H6 z! y; h# c s QAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. * j J: W. u. b: e3 f* c
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct * `- [, F. t8 _4 N h
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
$ Z R% e) Y/ s7 ^1 ]6 ^. U· Experience working with and managing volunteers

· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 2 f' `/ f5 X, w& x' Q* E6 j" Z$ y0 F
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training O' ~. ?; o0 G0 m
