The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.( o* f# t, w' |, i# n7 W

Reception

• Answer multi line telephone system

• Arrange courier services for all departments# X ~; q2 Y' V3 z% B
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers4 y3 M+ I, J1 e0 V9 P1 R$ h

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail0 Y$ }& F7 C( }% }, [4 V! [
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries8 F: E; m n- L/ O3 p1 V1 d
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency

• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers . |( }$ U3 ^ ?4 M. r
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

Qualifications:

1 E0 Y8 J( `8 K$ b/ o9 t6 p- [% G, @• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
( O' v- a3 ~3 b$ ?1 n• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
' E' H2 L2 i* P8 |' V0 c• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset5 b) }! K3 p: K! h4 m
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills & d' i2 @1 {/ W

• Strong customer-service skills
