The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Answer multi line telephone system' G7 y6 R; S! P* l0 {
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries. Y8 l4 R% b1 f9 H' t( E
• Arrange courier services for all departments
5 R- c* |. }8 E8 r• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers( ~% y. n, h# v

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail0 d/ j% G: F( M8 Y7 R
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries4 L( R) v8 h+ h8 G2 [( ^( I
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
5 V$ ]4 C- j8 O/ G4 P' m* {• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration6 @7 ?$ c2 X$ y% v) k& `
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers 4 o) O3 J+ i6 C0 x# p6 \
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures p, N5 m0 V6 u" A* T
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.1 G, x' {9 m5 S4 y8 i( }# i+ ?
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
