! m0 a/ r$ f( r2 q$ Q4 VThe YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

Reception
" U( m# g B7 R9 p4 x• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors
3 a- G9 F0 Q( x5 g• Answer multi line telephone system
t; m7 W) |, ^ l$ C R* z1 ]• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries# G4 _3 D& z8 H8 x
• Arrange courier services for all departments/ }3 f9 E+ m; ]' h* U! q r
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers0 _+ h$ t5 ~; O0 q' y( f

Administration
" A% K$ T- V% x• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail1 z4 M0 R6 O! i+ [4 S6 H) m
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries) g! c% g% U: r6 V* `9 `
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency 9 Z; ]/ i% n' ? p
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration: D" S$ S3 ~/ A; n" ~5 [/ ^
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
9 E! [ N/ w/ M6 G• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution% j. A/ Y3 K8 Y& l8 l$ H
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments
4 Q6 g' n# r& f4 D• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations

Qualifications:

/ a4 F7 J! Z+ j* `. @, Q• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures8 z1 R# E/ ]7 C' \
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.. g( f$ S8 q0 z; M
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset6 P; T. q: I! V5 t* a. N4 Y. b
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills $ `0 l8 ~3 i$ s- Z
• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion
