Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

! }& n; J& d2 X! Z7 w$ j# Z& SActivity Planning and Daily Activity
0 \ o1 g) u& f; k- B: O• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.5 S# t6 f% t) {. x; D
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. * ~& w( o& R# O2 }9 [& g
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, 4 Z$ x# g. t1 C) y
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.- U4 _6 }) @. ^8 e( M3 a/ f- g
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.

The successful candidate will have:
3 {+ F0 H- ~$ I8 A5 R• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
/ O* k, @" }. B2 {! P• Experience with children# {/ c7 e2 _- o, C) D! k( \
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
0 E1 ] X' g) a• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
( D1 b2 b2 E# o5 _6 e# k. F; k9 k- k5 g• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
