Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. . T# n: e8 T8 j" g* _

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
& h& @7 k4 k- ^. K5 M3 R' x& s( e(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)! J; f! I# V) Y& D2 f. |' P
) \/ s7 U6 r5 H8 I3 i* B( v$ b9 ?Key Responsibilities Include:
9 p: D8 c6 e5 Z' n8 jActivity Planning and Daily Activity
% q. {/ s7 G- ]' {" F• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
: L: k9 }$ m) q• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. & j' Y- t s" _
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, ; G" w5 R6 Y! T6 M. ]
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
8 @6 @% W2 Z& H• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.; w& o. }' V9 x( c
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
: S& R) ]- o2 L• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting0 P% k+ Y! U6 N. O% c& }
• Experience with children
6 {. E, Y9 \# I) u( o) }• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
# `% h' c* \% ^2 @0 `4 p; D3 u• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.# s) c+ D! \9 {8 P) {! Y5 U
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.$ x$ K o' a! D1 V
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources- [0 b& O7 X. s& y/ z4 |+ R
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
7 u$ O' f- o* p' L. t• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
