Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. 1 P) T2 Z5 V) l8 [) w

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

Key Responsibilities Include:: O2 l2 _6 i& [$ P$ P0 n @
Activity Planning and Daily Activity# D; P& r7 y- z) p2 x# F7 ?
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
* Q# p& e/ E" K. T5 {• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. - e8 J) h' f3 }! f6 e ~* H
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
& W9 }- o; @1 i' I- L+ h* I( r• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
* \, N; U! W% M. W% y M• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
( m6 r) D5 X) X* T4 Q+ K& O• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

+ S: K. v+ I* H9 HThe successful candidate will have:
$ ^& D0 J% P! o; [• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
$ r l4 a! g" q6 v" f: z• Experience with children
0 I* v' P; {4 ?! a• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 8 F! d3 Q {1 r4 H6 G1 Z2 s# H
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.4 z9 z4 T+ w/ _
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check $ r" _" t, E; W% |# i. m+ f
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check + C; x4 U+ _8 i% G- }0 O
