Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
$ ~1 J9 o( T+ y+ v2 t0 r; c(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

1 i9 V" F( l+ m6 d( ^" SKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
* m" x9 B6 ?1 _•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
3 P5 s6 z$ m9 ^' ?3 [$ @•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
+ w3 n4 z" B0 T) s( N6 N9 P•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
. j# R8 D* f- ^. u8 @  }& I•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

$ E$ ^8 J9 c" A4 N" H' b" g* W7 Q, L* B•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
( a2 j% l6 z  u4 i: S2 q•        Experience with children
& E( \/ F% A+ y7 L4 d6 Z9 Z•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
) a/ I7 \- p  ^3 _' }7 J0 H) C•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
. _0 ?' @# h9 X$ R. H  R( B•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
  B& ~# N& p$ V9 I+ p•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
