, s; x5 {- e/ @8 d2 V+ gBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
8 B) t+ q( Y# B, B! V(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

5 X8 O& j- y/ B" m2 h2 a" s; `Key Responsibilities Include
* ~, W) g( R1 f  VActivity Planning and Daily Activity
- w- b9 Q+ A! `•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
+ S: A! V. r- s0 K# q- K•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
. i4 }% R# W5 x7 d2 e5 S/ L9 T•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
: Q4 s9 [* s2 S' p) l0 @* H* Q•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

, ^* z& e7 x2 B3 o; ^& [# [The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
  g) G4 C: t# k( ~3 I: w. T•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
, S7 t4 P% l/ e1 _3 N; N" E•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
  i# [! u3 b: A•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
