Responsibilities:

- ]3 \# h1 ^- mPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
3 n: P2 M( U. e, m" OParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
* f' c* s; b1 x7 t* G! y- APerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
: R2 P, D  A" ^1 i" yTroubleshooting production issues
) z0 {' J7 ~" v; j8 w; Y. a+ _- v0 O; wParticipating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
Maintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
; @/ u+ M9 p( G' F) DProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
0 j8 D- v2 o$ X7 e5 O& GProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
1 v$ ]2 b9 P' d7 _% i* m3 RDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
2 z/ C# o. p; L4 D+ |, AWork directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

2 D7 d: a2 g5 cDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
! @# Y6 K) p4 T7 F: ?" A4 j- _) GExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
3 s8 G: {0 r# RDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
3 M2 X& I" f; ^4 G6 G1 h: E3 ~2 ]' mStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
Required:
Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
+ E6 s' q# p: L) bExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
& q6 E4 _7 O0 _6 i" x4 l! m* WStrong SQL skills
