Responsibilities:
Responsible for the following key functions:
! K1 a! R+ y& G4 u- CPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
' ?! y1 a: ^. x7 {Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
8 r! m/ M4 P) h9 `& pTroubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
% W# O! z4 P* e/ O% _Maintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
/ z! H6 Y# K$ E+ YDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
  ~' P% y- ]8 [+ w! {Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

General:
Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
  Z( x0 _' C0 C; f; eStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
$ Y  ~2 v6 b3 X' qStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
' N, T9 V, g9 H" Q6 NTechnical:
Required:
2 R9 |& F0 Z2 k8 jExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills
