Specifically, this resource will be required to have experience in setting up, administrating, and managing very large industrial configurations (i.e., large number of servers and environments as well as multi-process servers).
! F( D( z. [! q9 X: IAdministration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment. . @2 t V8 s+ D; y( Z! P
Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes. 8 H8 f: x( f0 g. v H' d
Maintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software. & W- K7 S" ]# `: U8 n# T
Maintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter.
8 g! V* b5 \- C/ k% d" j+ eWorking with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained.
/ ^# b0 c4 r. M0 ]# f D; kEnsuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes.
3 i( B9 \3 N& t7 _Help implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications. 8 D3 }/ _) B/ ~8 ^3 b
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
. O) J) u0 C+ zThorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux
+ i) a7 Q, I' AStrong IBM SAN configurations experience + Y% p3 }; a3 N& u# [& |8 l
Experience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases. 5 `- I4 |8 p D6 |9 N+ _7 B K
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability. $ d6 B$ @% x1 P
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
