JOB DESCRIPTION
& O& N$ \% Z$ ]7 X
3 L5 k7 n7 u( r  n3 ^Specifically, this resource will be required to have experience in setting up, administrating, and managing very large industrial configurations (i.e., large number of servers and environments as well as multi-process servers).
Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment.
Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes.
" {! }! m& J) f& U6 L* V# q* PMaintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software.
Maintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter.
Working with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained.
) Z" b' t9 `: b; TEnsuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes.
1 k7 b4 U0 \7 uHelp implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications.
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
& j  O! [  q3 R# d" k9 v8 iThorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux
/ ^0 Z- h3 _7 U7 X. f; `& cStrong IBM SAN configurations experience
! i) Z& r3 H9 |% g/ AExperience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases.
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability.
9 C% J- L. J( e9 m' l& MExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
3 ~2 G/ j+ ?& B# T: q! ACandidate must be willing to travel to client site and must have ability to work in both United States and Canada.
/ [% e* b* c( G+ g  q5 r+ n“NICE TO HAVE" SKILLS:
2 z4 J) L5 O" Z; O: a/ oExperience with automatic tape library maintenance and operation.
Basic networking knowledge - such as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with routing on multiple network interfaces.
Experience with Nagios or other system monitoring tools.
9 g  j8 \) b6 J' R- q: RBash or Korn shell scripting knowledge.
SAP, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle experience helpful
