Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment.
2 R$ Z6 G* S5 B" UCandidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes. . V4 @" ~. e `& _" e5 u0 P
Maintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software.
* J: _4 ^. {6 z6 Y+ K* N; H. wMaintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter. 4 \7 `8 R6 b9 m6 y. A3 `
Working with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained. # V z$ @0 p) A6 X0 _
Ensuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes. 9 `" z& P8 J: q; r& q7 [6 F$ ]
Help implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications.

, W( w: _* w9 X, ]3 { \Thorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux
! e4 j+ t$ O$ k; a0 J( O+ s- MStrong IBM SAN configurations experience 9 O/ T: l* u5 B
Experience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases. / j3 m1 _3 u; t# a
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability.
1 ~( h' }% b( ^$ D# {* _Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
% Y( l9 t D7 B8 NCandidate must be willing to travel to client site and must have ability to work in both United States and Canada. 8 o+ k9 r# X+ T
“NICE TO HAVE" SKILLS:

Experience with Nagios or other system monitoring tools.
