Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes.
/ g# d5 s3 n5 m( }Maintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software.
& s. u& a4 y% W/ i2 [; HMaintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter.
# g% s; d' u+ e, v# Y% t6 }, FWorking with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained.
5 r2 S8 T( e% u/ N' uEnsuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes. 0 t' I f7 ^5 T7 D) f6 k4 {
Help implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications. 1 G- ^$ S! O' s4 k3 O5 D
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
- t X B' X) B% O. o; _! L7 x: K4 e) }% ]Thorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux ; t4 F K* u* Q# M8 `9 h; F
Strong IBM SAN configurations experience
( E# T$ i, D/ I/ Q0 I) C' S! y' |Experience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases. 5 R5 R' n5 e+ q5 a" C4 F$ M
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability. 3 Z# e4 b/ C7 |# q. T' g
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
