JOB DESCRIPTION

Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment.
* b, C, ~# l) u$ R8 p) U) t% d* _Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes.
; E9 o W* v- Z( i5 x+ N$ ]Maintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software. 6 |1 o% _6 v8 j3 Z6 }7 L1 R
Maintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter.

Ensuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes. 5 K& A: M1 y) @8 s6 y# V7 U1 X5 D
Help implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications. 1 _* k$ `& ?: ?3 E7 O E; N
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
# R e. ~0 \# B( W8 j o& LThorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux
+ i6 E+ s' m8 r* E# |3 N+ S) HStrong IBM SAN configurations experience + T& D R; H0 g6 [
Experience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases.
' d0 \# D3 s% l1 ~Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability.

Bash or Korn shell scripting knowledge.
