Specifically, this resource will be required to have experience in setting up, administrating, and managing very large industrial configurations (i.e., large number of servers and environments as well as multi-process servers). * |9 R4 E( A- i' O ^/ W8 }
Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment. : K- B. L- K: w8 ]
Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes. 7 w6 O; `. o; e& \9 X8 o
Maintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software. ; @4 N! G* M6 g7 d
Maintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter. 5 a( J) r2 A" k
Working with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained. 9 B; ^- b/ i# g
Ensuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes.
; F5 l! J0 k7 Q6 B' r, tHelp implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications. 9 r- i+ Q( f0 `$ b$ s, V `( |4 k
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS: 6 w$ ?4 N" m. f5 ~* p
Thorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux . ^& z! q" m- s a
Strong IBM SAN configurations experience
! R1 t9 ]4 q* t: |! z7 X1 _Experience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases. 6 K" |9 Y E! D8 R
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability. 4 g4 N+ _7 Q! P; Z% \6 j
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
