7 D. Q2 c1 e4 t# K; }Specifically, this resource will be required to have experience in setting up, administrating, and managing very large industrial configurations (i.e., large number of servers and environments as well as multi-process servers).
Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment.
Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes.
Maintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software.
Maintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter.
Working with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained.
- g4 V, ^& X4 s+ B# v- A) rEnsuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes.
Help implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications.
3 u- K. ]. ]& [) v8 L"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
Thorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux
1 L* h4 o1 E6 b' g- y/ j! @Strong IBM SAN configurations experience
& W* S9 B. V/ d7 G3 B7 QExperience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases.
' m" o( x, ?( b, P& B+ P2 o) PExperience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability.
& d3 v) F2 `# Q& `Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
) j! r  i8 f' hCandidate must be willing to travel to client site and must have ability to work in both United States and Canada.
“NICE TO HAVE" SKILLS:
Experience with automatic tape library maintenance and operation.
Basic networking knowledge - such as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with routing on multiple network interfaces.
Experience with Nagios or other system monitoring tools.
Bash or Korn shell scripting knowledge.
SAP, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle experience helpful
