JOB DESCRIPTION

! f' f; k+ r! W6 b' Y7 x* TSpecifically, this resource will be required to have experience in setting up, administrating, and managing very large industrial configurations (i.e., large number of servers and environments as well as multi-process servers).
Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment.
Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes.
5 M: |& Z) [" r& R. c( b" ?/ pMaintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software.
Maintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter.
$ h: A7 q) u. U( i: [Working with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained.
% R$ ^, }5 Z6 U# I5 rEnsuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes.
% H2 K# I  S0 p% T+ e+ |, b1 EHelp implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications.
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
3 T7 O1 x# q, P6 ^$ L9 }1 WThorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux
Strong IBM SAN configurations experience
Experience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases.
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability.
* H  c( ~, p6 l: q; PExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
$ O& p& L1 Z) }Candidate must be willing to travel to client site and must have ability to work in both United States and Canada.

. z+ h) |" a  iExperience with automatic tape library maintenance and operation.
Basic networking knowledge - such as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with routing on multiple network interfaces.
Experience with Nagios or other system monitoring tools.
8 p0 }: ~+ `7 [! xBash or Korn shell scripting knowledge.
SAP, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle experience helpful
