Position: Facility & Program Manager / Location: Edmonton / Terms: 15 hours a week, part fixed hours and part flex time. Some evening or weekend work may be required / Salary: up to $20/hour depending on qualifications / Closing Date: June 12, 2009.

We're seeking a highly-motivated, enthusiastic & reliable team player who, working under the direction of the Board of Directors, will oversee community programming & assist with the operation of the community centre.6 E7 X( }, A2 t0 M# V
0 o: `5 I. I: c9 C; u+ F. F0 N
Responsibilities: oversee programming; facility requirements, advertising, registration and instructor contracts; assist with rentals: advertising, bookings, contracts, inspections and customer service; assist with the development and implementation of a marketing plan related to facility operation; direct staff and volunteers in regards to programs & facility operation.
) }& C& r( O! A9 q# u. Z* @0 W9 S0 K0 G7 v8 o1 @" a
PLUS: write reports/recommend policy around facility operation to the board; develop resources & resource material in the area of community programming & facility operation; plan/implement leisure needs assessment, trends research & public consultation, then recommend strategies to provide enhanced customer service.

* h/ Z+ e( T0 W1 \+ A `% DRequirements: A post-secondary diploma/degree is preferred. Experience in programming and administration is essential. You have proven analytical and problem solving skills. You must be innovative, creative/work well on your own. & L* L8 R- u% Y3 V* G2 _& n
$ u& C/ e6 x9 M6 rIn addition: you have a strong customer service orientation, demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, collaborative/communication skills, and the ability to work positively-effectively in a team environment. You are computer literate & knowledgeable in the use of MS Office programs and internet applications.
