Has the following summer position available: June 1 – August 16, 2005 (40 hours per week)

Housing Program Worker

Key Responsibilities:
 To plan, organize and implement residential and housing support programs for adults and families who access the YMCA’s Transitional Housing Program.
0 n6 b5 q* c1 W+ T* g To assist residents to register for on-site housing and support programs
 To help promote the program in the community.
 To provide some evening and weekend program supports.
' R/ |4 G2 X5 i1 @# ? To supervise volunteers assigned to the program.
  X9 E! H) z2 H8 `' n- J& L To document assigned activities and prepare reports as necessary.
* h) D- O8 k! `* a; a9 F+ k1 @& }2 Y To operate within the approved budget and follow all YMCA Policies and Procedures.
& U/ o+ L1 H$ B0 J( [5 J6 B To contribute as a member of our staff team in the operation of the Transitional Housing Program.

; ^/ q' o0 ]/ X" y8 VQualifications:  (Applicants must meet all qualifications to apply)
+ N6 U: x( @) P$ P" ?+ R 2 years education as a post secondary student in Human Services or Social Work
' L! }- g& @, q Experience in human services, social housing and/or work with high needs populations.
5 A: G3 `- N5 a# S Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
 Current CPR and First Aid certifications
 Completed, current & cleared Child Welfare Check & Police Security Clearance
