support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
& S. V1 e N$ {; ~emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 2 z5 u; p8 q+ ~ Q% j8 F
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
! C, o2 L2 U: {$ G5 I6 rresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
$ U% l* ]& q9 c }4 _1 }screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

6 T* Q7 Y& K, n' ^. zJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
2 C. Q& a( F) d( jFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
+ n0 I5 q( W1 N1 u7 Z( `well as the script, magazine and book library. ( Q1 V4 A# l0 l

Duties: 7 ~3 @, B0 Y+ }+ p
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 [$ e5 s& U/ r! Z0 \& a/ m- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books : d6 m9 b+ l% a0 o1 D4 D4 `+ u
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
1 f+ ~3 {" i h- B5 h# F- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
8 h' w/ B- h! _/ s- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 1 Z: s* q: M4 E- w- w- H
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
