FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
4 u7 z4 W4 {* \5 @emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
; f! q- ?6 O' F3 H$ y& dand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
2 m7 |/ W4 |+ J. }1 e2 r+ ]5 Kresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
# l- D; m; u$ L J" ascreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
4 @' {8 l8 m: k3 p1 Z* fFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& ]6 b9 ]% b$ `$ W) q& u; Kwell as the script, magazine and book library. 4 N% k( N2 y5 x4 P
$ G; Q0 K, k% ]5 w1 M& zDuties: % m H# b' P& D2 P
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ! _% @5 p1 v' f5 E& T6 Z, V, @
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- o1 l9 B" c6 b2 J7 g0 e- Implement a catalogue template for future use
+ ?$ d. n% c9 F7 F+ ]" v( T- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
% C& l- A+ I! @8 p- Y5 I- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

7 [' Q- ^1 R( F8 D- Strong organizational skills
2 B* k$ x! V# o- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 8 q7 k$ a' j: ? y6 {/ D
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- }4 t! q; Q0 v- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
