$ z5 @. n0 W: O. h$ XFAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

3 a; H, L# ]) C+ a. _FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
! F6 ?1 z$ Z; m2 Zemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
/ @* O7 K1 f% p2 ~9 [and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
6 N" w2 x- |- _) e; presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and % Z, L( D. c) V7 }, S
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

- I; U* O$ u4 b# @) e, b6 TJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 7 j. I" x+ O0 F% R
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& I8 D# s o8 |well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 6 t8 |1 V e7 Q0 q5 W6 E
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
/ q" ~( h& Z/ o1 V) `- Implement a catalogue template for future use . G$ e1 @0 e/ y* A9 N
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure * {- e4 z! s6 F
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-- t- ]! D9 R$ M
secondary training, university preferred # t! n- L* T4 W1 i0 e+ P Q
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
7 S9 s6 X+ X5 D- Strong organizational skills
- h& P) A( k, t1 P+ k; H- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
6 \0 r) G. f: c, F9 ~5 f- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal $ @! w8 v: F) g4 ]+ i \- o
- Strong team player abilities
9 z: q2 B" B0 }- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
