summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 6 B$ Z. A* v% Y" j6 [
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

9 d' D8 P" l1 l( BFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ( P/ `/ u; `! L7 z0 V
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video * ~: L) {+ n+ V
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

% J' V8 j* M9 o3 I4 }Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
' ~6 B% P8 Z% F+ z# F' EFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 5 y# x' `! I* {) J
well as the script, magazine and book library. 1 W& v, }$ H! q

Duties: 8 M) n" F" C6 }4 a
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 ^) K l- ^, [* t+ x9 n" }6 I6 P. J- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books / P* M# d: r$ R
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
! \ @% L) @; h3 N+ H3 [- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
0 e/ m, c F6 l3 w9 `9 v; ~6 M- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-- F! ]( t2 I5 w2 ?

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 7 m' W( ?7 d5 q X2 E
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: , K! N3 }( I$ v; z8 M, O6 K; V
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 5 V; d9 @3 R3 t$ r
- Strong organizational skills
4 ?$ P: x7 `. r$ A2 V- Experience or training in library sciences preferred + x7 q: g. L( r
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
