Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
/ D6 Y' L" V% `( a9 \; }- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
8 h  t: v  _/ t- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

6 f& n, k$ D2 O  a# f! T( t, ?- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
1 R1 F/ u! `+ C, Z0 ^" Q" |- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
7 ?. w5 R6 ]$ K& z4 g- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
* K4 K- x. e8 F; o: m- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
