Position title: Community Development Worker : ~4 a" J9 a; [$ R( O
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
/ B1 W0 i |$ n: H2 a provide services for Chinese community
9 p% R$ \' \( y, P- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
3 R/ C/ G/ m) l( C access to mainstream services
) g( z, M8 D' X5 a2 r/ @8 F8 y- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of

L( j, z2 f( K: j- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies! R. ~; r& K! T/ K8 P
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members7 K9 _7 I9 ?; D5 h. p9 n2 N
- update ASSIST website4 F+ p/ n2 w% L" v* C( Y
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of

S3 p9 S# [+ g- good oral and written Chinese and English skills* l0 _3 M1 q( O* f
- experience in community work and immigrant services0 S/ o+ Y8 `! S' o; x; }2 m
- experience in website update/design
( q6 a9 O3 j8 a! ]5 h- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset. P, V3 |8 x J" o8 o8 y! \1 M) C
