Job Description
+ F3 I$ l* u R. u# G) s- Y- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
- H' d0 g1 B2 S/ R1 @1 d provide services for Chinese community
* y) r' z, w8 u. F) h5 q- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
0 P% J7 Z/ c7 N5 ` access to mainstream services9 u% |7 l& X' ]% f
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
/ E0 F' K# @6 X b v/ U5 q social services
% l& S/ ]4 q& ~- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies' V5 B$ m6 w0 t5 M% x# d- J
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
: o; n( {5 ^1 E# h9 F% @5 Q+ I/ `- update ASSIST website
# ]# c- ^* Y. v. w6 B& L- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre. F- l7 I T" A7 B/ ?
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services7 N- x3 c1 w) i; ^+ z {4 p
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time3 }" L2 f5 x6 @& U* y! D
- update membership database, @, R% A- E7 ] E+ Z
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)7 I! Y. c( p7 \" n4 Q" D0 q* O, m) P

+ `$ f: D: D3 g" \) [$ d% z- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
% v) N. O4 _; h, @3 r* G; E experience and education / p5 E' v& R6 f# S( V6 a3 L8 Z t
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 f. P( r3 l- T) d4 G- @
- experience in community work and immigrant services
1 }5 x0 o4 u Y l- experience in website update/design
4 U4 A- V7 m5 f1 h- C3 E7 V- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
