Position title: Community Development Worker
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

$ t8 L$ e% [) [-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
- p' i9 c. U, e        provide services for Chinese community
/ n& |% F: T( T3 r9 F3 o6 Y-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
        access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
  W7 h* L5 B3 F, r5 ^$ z-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
0 p0 p. z9 C! p-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
7 i1 r* U- G; j7 {6 H3 `-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
/ J. t& {; w2 k5 d        experience and education
5 L8 F: w! q* y& m6 ]# \-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
* l' U% Z- f4 x) t-        experience in community work and immigrant services
' u/ C9 y- c; I- {% N( T4 L0 R-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
