Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009; x/ k' S$ R& x U( X* H) k4 r) x

- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the ) p* j: J# j; t' H! _- i1 t( t
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps2 p3 Q4 ?& ]4 |4 a! i) l' f7 I* \
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program0 |% N$ h2 D9 }2 o
- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies6 |5 Y+ n6 D: z: ~6 Q' X) z
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program

- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
4 P O& J3 e( a V- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
[: ^+ p q( g5 E) I! N/ v. O$ U Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education. G& ^) u$ Q4 f
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
3 [; H# |& j$ Z9 S3 t& M! S; p- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills* X7 G* f4 ?* S
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
# L' g! N1 j: Q3 J9 e- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese8 j- ^$ g0 N6 ~% v5 Z ^
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities+ B. a5 i8 k0 m, P I
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
3 S$ N$ f, [7 t- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)

- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
