Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the 8 l7 P0 q* D* z/ v+ [1 |
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps) L5 P0 _' v$ ]/ }1 O
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
5 J+ I' x# z, J1 ~& | O. `( Z. z- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
6 m. p' J9 W8 y- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program 4 e& D# X5 u( S5 |# Y

1 N. @& _/ }- f, K/ K- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
1 J( U: X& `6 ?- ^" a+ X* m/ N% H Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
+ W) s8 C; c0 }& x% ?- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
) b ^( v0 @8 C C# ]) M1 h! `- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills% U& K' m* i. d- t0 W9 p6 V
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities. P/ k: o0 l3 O( d
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese1 q! @% {+ ]! q' Q6 [; L/ a- h
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
9 t& g' H5 Y6 H N- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense7 w( X, V) c! p0 u5 S

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) . V& C! W8 i. n5 r9 `
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
! J, d. w0 h/ n: f w0 B6 F- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
