Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

& E v7 b; V3 e, y9 W( N: n& [- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
( p1 V, x* D+ O/ {% q% T/ D" D (ages 6 to 15) # R3 G9 b: \1 L! R# \
- Recruit children for summer programs
* B9 S8 F$ A {6 `. [- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
- F5 Y( Q. T8 r- Record keeping
9 O2 T4 r( H. }' K- W/ f: D- Provide orientation for parents H8 b" r4 h7 q- u6 Q
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
! S# `6 L! A! V, q6 v- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager
+ q( a! b' T0 a# q& _( |+ q+ h# ~, h9 [+ j# V
Qualifications:! @# Z6 d0 }3 b( H7 A: K# ~3 n: E
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education# h* n! S9 p) B# {- ?
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children) E9 j5 _$ A# H4 e. d9 H6 ~ n
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
/ ?# U7 T9 H# T$ s2 @) @6 u7 Y! w* O- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- w: [0 J7 S0 B% ]- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese+ S8 P/ t$ O6 H& `
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

Other Information:
( w- a6 A4 B/ ?/ Y) N- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) - e: {" C8 Z5 I
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
