8 {( X9 K# d& U' [) a7 GDuties

    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
# |" I- a6 m/ [7 V: |& f  }    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

/ {  P4 O3 B! D    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

8 \$ u! x& G! ^4 ]本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

1 I, y- M3 M4 @' _7 Yti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
