This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and$ b; L, s+ N y/ B
knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.0 m E. K. L3 n. j

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)7 n2 p9 Q h2 n- @) O+ X( {
• Standard Child Care First Aid
* v, a& O6 H! P) h- s' i• WHMIS! W2 h' [7 M2 Z6 E* P
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care6 ^6 F7 H" Z; G
• Components to improve communication skills
; i% O: c6 W S6 K• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search8 A! y( ?: f, J# F5 l2 m
• Practicum Placements

: [) f+ ]; T2 S2 P- j7 _7 @* j" U) q1 d• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
9 O; c. V+ Q2 Y# [' `6 Q b% qof Canada# S+ h9 ?1 r) V
• have a Social Insurance Number
" w7 j/ P- M( R' L9 ^7 [7 T, b7 u) O• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
5 a- h- a3 }; ` Y• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent2 v) l0 j- T) d2 k5 A1 M
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
