Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
0 X: M7 J: q6 Z/ C) u6 sFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
3 O4 w0 ]% c* v  m) }9 \•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
/ b0 V  b, h& ]1 S•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
& ~; k. @# W3 G•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
% z& i* y6 l, K  R" C' q•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
) C2 O; j7 v3 l+ l' Q- W•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
4 v& W% A. M5 z0 L•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
& }) e: ~2 b4 }% E: s" N6 w" U/ L) B•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

0 Q4 e3 M8 H+ e8 ]+ iQualifications
+ |% A$ {+ `# o' B0 p•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
+ R1 v2 `+ W/ y, Z' [# g0 ]•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
' z1 k0 Q3 n5 v+ d& f0 w8 j•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
