Job Description

Full time position (35 hours each week)

: D' [4 p' J/ _. p& k•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
; [$ M2 O; s) A% D  L•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
3 U( `' Z7 Q- L$ ]& [" }: K  b7 q•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
3 ~/ d: ~2 K6 I( o6 o/ Z; k; b•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
7 H' d7 p8 r5 ^$ [5 J$ E* ?•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

3 ]7 Q0 S+ V6 R% S) u( H+ j•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
) u' ~4 L# F, Q5 R•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
( ~- d2 j* o+ a; h5 p•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
