Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant3 U. \! x$ y$ }  ]; Z
Location:        Edmonton0 R2 N/ ^3 r! a
Reports to:        National Sales Manager; n: X( W6 p& b( {  H

Major Responsibilities: ! Q% c8 f- q8 }
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations./ W+ }7 t- k% z4 O' H  I0 W
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
' q9 @  @' d" Z3 o4 x: }; u•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
2 H. \, E9 ~& B. `8 K3 p•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office., x% r1 ?& Q. G( L. p4 z9 f
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
$ I9 g7 g* T* n1 f•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
$ w% J; E6 b' {+ p; T•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.' ]$ w  G8 Q- I: w0 e# ?& G! L6 z7 A
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
0 V0 N6 G, a: g% `' S•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.! X7 s2 q+ i$ p1 z$ `- k+ _1 ]
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
! W. k2 O7 z1 v: s) f/ F0 }  P3 _•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy., F' a) |' U" D4 J& B9 J; j: K1 d
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
" _% G* y, b' o+ p•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:+ P4 P, t7 W/ n
•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
5 U6 i0 G3 A' f9 t+ r# [( n•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
. M3 s3 I% m6 T4 B5 o4 e9 N•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
' C. e) U" a  K6 Q5 n•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
0 |5 d- X9 x* h& E•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
* N; k* h  J1 C8 V; U" e•        Not scared of heights# A  y* q3 `& P9 m3 e
•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other2 ?( A* X! _/ o' `. W% h1 W
•        Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 3 {$ `6 }+ @0 F# w0 V8 N9 j
