Location: Edmonton

Major Responsibilities:
$ ^6 r K5 u; \& N• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
. V9 P0 w) f* c( k& J; K# H& D• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
5 ^5 Z" L7 {, R# [/ |8 n! `• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. ) [$ F, V& H- e ?" A6 E
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.- [& Y0 p% w% ]5 K$ b
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
* {0 D9 G& U9 X- R9 B• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.( ]% T1 K1 E, X; T: \
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
0 y: `) N$ M, g• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.* S) g! I: S3 @9 h/ M. z
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
s. _- Z5 ^- q* A! E• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
! C1 E9 n! y! a5 l+ N" y$ ~• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.% F( [# E3 {5 e( h( D/ T
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.; F/ i$ }( E* ]) a& V9 U2 T2 z
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:- s3 @2 x n& L* b
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
& F4 {3 ~( o0 i* s5 y• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. % | Z, `' V+ j# l% y1 _" Q+ _
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
' P# V: t* A. r% Z% z0 D1 w/ x! d• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 6 {( J/ x3 c8 t: j& J i6 N
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other

• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
