: q' [ u1 L4 j! n * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
p5 n9 f: A! m1 c$ W$ W% C( C * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
0 B! {+ @+ [: k3 n2 ` * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
/ e" ^) E" V* J" U& e * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
* T! A. H/ p4 }6 q1 c- {" C$ T * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders- {# w, K7 w1 }* r
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements& Y' S0 ~0 ^/ n. t* [+ A
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
$ ~1 j5 [$ p8 l. `! { * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
) H' }# r9 \2 W- D! Y, ] * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
- q9 ]; p7 s; R5 S * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies7 a9 x( M6 N! y; n. ]

Qualifications
4 a: d9 h& _2 z( h3 c8 |9 t+ Q4 `6 W( s/ Z2 b% W, o
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred9 `& C9 x: S. L
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
0 p9 V3 g% ?$ j# f# K1 ? * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
# @( e, U7 }( I6 O) P * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies% h+ ?& y( J! u8 s J: O" c
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills+ x4 u' J: @/ o: c
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
' U& n: W/ q' e+ o * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)9 i2 I1 e6 K$ s
