* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program+ ?& p( D6 I: _- }1 f2 s
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
0 R1 j: w( G- D * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
$ e4 u, R6 k$ z5 ~ * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
; x1 R, ~* i. Z( n" Q * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
( n/ g9 I T( ~. w" S+ Z- Q$ y * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements

* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director$ k; ? [. p( t- w0 L* w; Q
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media( L, W- \5 y9 M6 u, y0 E
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results4 c5 x1 T. ~1 v7 y+ a! o1 p/ x% q
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies9 m. W+ _# X9 {0 }

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred# _. `( X9 V. v& k P, l8 p, j
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth8 F! Z8 D3 p/ c7 M9 Q6 H
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
- D( d- ~4 U, m5 F* F p * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
% }7 G0 D2 I% |. ^ * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
$ t" v: g; A' r2 G x7 I& m0 l7 C * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning

* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
