9 Z5 O/ B1 \- G6 E' T' Q ^5 J * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program) N! O( {4 c' i9 ~/ F8 _
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities, t5 h* o8 [) z; Q
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
# |$ p3 x* D- o1 p" e% X# b * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
: a) b+ Z- p) M0 Q( z * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
! ?7 F* _6 V4 p& h9 [/ O * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements0 o$ q! i6 f' H
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs2 F0 {$ W) x }
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director3 k9 O9 n% x1 |
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

3 F" j: o6 a* F( d * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred, s% W( U6 g8 ]! _$ {) j1 K; f
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
! s& V$ U s) P0 n+ T * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset. t4 w( t: t& y3 P9 \& X
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
6 W( n: a4 j r8 c9 }* E- [ * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills/ }2 I: T" V$ J7 I- @0 _) }
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning( t( h" \! g) H9 f
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
