* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program- F& S. D7 Q' b
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities, u. j; X, v9 L# _: T: L8 O( o
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes8 c3 d/ K) `' g4 c+ Q+ [
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
. m2 `+ S5 g, j9 \5 y: U * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
4 o7 d) s* @, G/ d' m! J+ u * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
( j! K/ b$ e9 C) i * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
$ \% T$ a \1 _ V * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials6 | f8 @8 t. i; e' w
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
$ D7 W, ~! O1 m: E * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
! T! o- t1 T+ O5 a * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred7 V# F5 @8 b8 Q/ }7 \& Y
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth8 c0 ^3 H `9 G- P
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
0 A# t1 ?4 D/ Z) D$ [7 {; j * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies* M& K* {" S. Q, Y
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills% P+ ?6 o, v9 _; s
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning, E A. j' E: q# k- L- H
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)8 h% A* O' a) T9 A/ O
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
