* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program9 Z% D# e: f5 V5 f% E; b
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities% h1 B/ t" j7 w3 x W/ c |/ X
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes; N' I- p$ Y" [+ M$ K! l. @# X
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat( s a! [8 m$ N
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders# a; x( O7 o0 {/ I
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements9 j* Y4 N1 Y: _
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs1 k% @- r' w; N$ A" Q
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials* O, Z7 a4 E" ~& z' P0 Z
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
/ {/ e% d& f+ B" K) q4 [ * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

2 r* n% J0 B) JQualifications

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred! q9 B4 Z/ ~+ y1 w
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth, H( D2 e$ T0 g4 B) }
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
8 j& t# W4 d; G8 \4 z& r4 Q * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies, \. O: ^- Y6 s$ P. e5 R, X& ]
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills: }" a- N [" k+ |
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning7 s1 X6 N9 O0 \* B9 e4 }
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)4 |. S. s$ L. Y9 Z7 y! v8 V# T
