* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
8 I r* ^* @" R: x3 w& E * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
$ ?$ N( W) J! b * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes) d. V3 E6 q" u$ y$ f- J* m# b# k
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
5 Z R3 c5 U: ?+ C7 \ * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders* D5 [/ b8 v- [$ _; ?, o
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
5 E9 r- {7 g: N6 U" a7 m- n8 e * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
# F8 {. g/ F( ~1 G2 e6 g * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director: e0 D; C# w& f! h' w9 w
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

9 a! w% n: @$ E4 g c2 | * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
. L7 s. m0 V( _) E * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

Qualifications
1 w3 H- m3 ?, P- S6 y+ G8 m. Z t" i4 v6 i( z9 H* w! b
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred4 e) K6 y+ g% W* ^2 i" z
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth" \! p, S$ X0 g$ J! F, S9 Y
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
: O. a% G/ Q$ C, N% b( e+ S# Q * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies* c1 e. \5 O: P. _5 S
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills- ~ O/ Q2 \& f/ P" L! F
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning$ w5 s, d3 X3 C( G
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
