EDMONTON - One man is dead and another is in hospital after a pickup truck rolled in northeast Edmonton this morning.& u R# I6 g- }4 K8 o' w$ K2 s8 e, g% S
Police said they attempted to stop a truck after it stunted, spinning its tires in front of a cruiser, at 139th Avenue and Victoria Trail shortly before 2 a.m.. q+ e+ T% p3 F; W, x' z( E5 ?
Officers lost sight of the truck, but caught up to it about a minute later. It had hit a curb and rolled at 139th Avenue and 23rd Street. The driver was ejected and was killed.
, o! @' I0 a4 `8 G) L2 L/ p' D/ F- mThe male passenger suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Speed and alcohol are being blamed for the crash.
