E# m7 W/ W1 e) vPosition Abstract: as a community organizer you will be responsible for providing training to residents of an inner city community who are actively involved in creating strategies for a healthier neighbourhood. Working towards ensuring wide participation by residents/organizations in the local community you will assist in reinforcing inclusivity. - i1 u9 ^( Q5 S Q" |, I

PLUS: a capable advocate for alternative dispute resolution, you will liaise between the community and elected officials/municipal administration, assisting in the development of a strong working relationship between these groups. $ q3 R$ R2 h, P! C3 P0 Q

Education & Experience: the position calls for an individual with education in the humanities or related field + 2 years experience in the field of community organizing. Special interest in ecological literacy and sustainable communities will be an asset.

3 ?4 J5 F" A, L$ A: R& u$ OOther Skills: the successful candidate will have a strong background in building group capacity & seeing projects through to completion. There is a significant element of research and an opportunity for creativity in assisting residents to address community challenges. Working in a non profit environment will mean that experience in sourcing/writing grant proposals is an asset. 9 i% O* P8 p4 R7 z
