PURPOSE:

Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space

to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions

3 m. w& Z- F2 o. c. wESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
|! _& n0 _% Y8 g/ Xproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built( l4 l7 U, u6 c* P1 L; o H5 ~: I
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
: J5 ~. J: Z- u% k- X9 s7 Yspecification and installation.
. `3 I; P L" O7 E$ f! K3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
/ {8 z3 d( Q3 g' G: cmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these/ Z' Q/ X6 Z5 Z$ A* P
needs.
8 f' ~ y( {4 M1 n) E. J( f4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
* b! u# N& B) [routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.4 t- K, H1 {; `' l4 u5 u: I" d
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
' n3 y" A- Q4 o8 yplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job }6 k. ]# ^- E2 q) s& [
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence: D2 V g" A* M6 S/ F( H
checks.& Z5 t8 _* U- _4 q9 z8 O
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
5 z% g `9 @+ g" `0 U& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
" g5 @) z) k& ^, C, o7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
. w8 @1 Q3 V6 p! massures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes* I B! f& u b

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job+ A: ~. B5 A4 ~! {* ~
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
h& @5 s/ R9 n8 N9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.1 ~8 H, S+ n8 }+ h2 v3 x" S/ F
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and

& T+ k5 u3 T' Kknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.7 B5 e/ G! Q; y! C
