all types of furniture systems while maintaining high standard of quality and
7 A% w/ E3 i3 qexcellent customer satisfaction. Assists in training and provides work direction
to furniture installers/assemblers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
in a timely fashion.
· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
6 k; P& @  u( K1 H) t· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
- H8 a8 Z+ }" y3 p) a1 Zmeet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
5 w+ I' \0 Z/ V: _) m# q1 N/ B) m; Cincludes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal
5 v+ p  c7 ?7 tand wood furniture at customer location.

· Class 5 Drivers License with maximum 3 demerits

Interior Designer

PURPOSE:

6 {; ~9 |, @8 v. jResponsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
' e0 {+ k3 y* Y2 m# l, irequirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
* ~$ R0 ]4 R" p0 F- `4 othat do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

3 m. w& Z- F2 o. c. wESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may
! F& k) g5 G$ d# M+ Zbe assigned):

, z9 h- R2 K- z' _7 N  e1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
7 k$ v* U% L5 r1 E- [furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
measure layout.
2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
  |! _& n0 _% Y8 g/ Xproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
: J5 ~. J: Z- u% k- X9 s7 Yspecification and installation.
. `3 I; P  L" O7 E$ f! K3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
/ {8 z3 d( Q3 g' G: cmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
needs.
8 f' ~  y( {4 M1 n) E. J( f4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
* b! u# N& B) [routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
' n3 y" A- Q4 o8 yplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
checks.
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
5 z% g  `9 @+ g" `0 U& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
" g5 @) z) k& ^, C, o7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
. w8 @1 Q3 V6 p! massures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
and revisions.
8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
  h& @5 s/ R9 n8 N9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
# T1 Y# o7 ^1 e. M' }11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
meetings with the furniture management team.

interior design department employees, furniture personnel, sales team, order

design, and construction representatives.

. g, I, i% s: q1 _# MBachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
' i% g% V2 Y) F% Q( o: h: Y* ?experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
& T+ k5 u3 T' Kknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
