Interior Designer

to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

# B' ?6 k' d7 L1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
4 F* D. q" D" h! t9 |5 mfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to

- ]' a3 f$ O; `; b" ~+ h8 d* A2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework, m; R0 X. K1 c; X# G9 Q4 c
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
( s* G" y t) O4 w) c! Gdrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
: K# S9 ^* {6 G& mspecification and installation.
& o, h! Z& a% n d# {3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning. X% X; m* r: `' ^, E
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these) P/ r2 d2 R$ P& i# n N9 e0 _. H

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
& {) w) K; g5 P6 a! W; @6 Wroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.; k) D5 `0 Y; V% r5 F- u1 n( o* W
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
) k) u( N5 b1 Q: U& }3 Jplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job. q( | O9 Z6 R. `# s4 p
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence

6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
; H0 M: w) O0 C9 W* m& Design (A&D) drawing sets.

: v/ ?$ V" n. H4 Dassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
- \& L. w( T. O# j0 P; \. zinspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.- U4 f6 A# e: v: O6 @- ~
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.# Y$ I. F" U4 Z+ t
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

meetings with the furniture management team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:& m) \1 q% J' K; D- o4 ~

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
6 }- d3 c, _! V, b! krelated field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
5 u; Q& R s/ y2 D7 A' h& O$ nexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general* L3 X+ W# z+ v' k$ z* @ M
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
