JERUSALEM - Israel is sending disaster relief to China.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel says a plane is on the way to southern China carrying clothing, medical supplies, generators and tents for victims of the May 12 earthquake.

# [9 S0 W" X' l8 p2 r; W ?0 IMekel estimated the shipment was worth US$1.5 million and said it was due to arrive in China later today.' V$ L: m" y: N8 X- q* [9 X3 ~
