When we were called the Sick Man of Asia, we were the Yellow Peril.
# g6 g3 h4 L5 ?3 }: k' H' @- dWhen we are billed to be the next Superpower, we are a threat.
8 b4 c- a! X/ q5 r( B( f& k
: W! k) d* x0 D2 X! ]" P! KWhen we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to our markets.
+ A! V% g5 M% s4 P  u3 k# L* MWhen we embraced Free Trade, you blame us for taking away your jobs.

When we were falling apart, you marched in your troops and wanted your “fair share”.
; A) `4 k0 T# q7 ^) lWhen we were putting the broken pieces together again, “Free Tibet” you scream, “it was an invasion!”

' L3 U* X6 X2 Z9 c: [: }, FSo, we tried communism, you hated us for being communists
2 N1 S* E8 D! a/ [$ kWhen we embraced capitalism, you hate us for being capitalists.

When we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet.
When we tried limiting our numbers, you said it is human rights abuse.

) F' @+ q. R( M! GWhen we were poor, you thought we were dogs.
When we loan you cash, you blame us for your debts.

3 T9 l8 {' Z5 z% ]7 ?2 r/ tWhen we build our industries, you called us polluters.
When we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming.

8 C# U6 n4 x8 G* o6 kWhen we buy oil, you call that exploitation and genocide.
8 {. Y4 p8 d+ _' l  b1 C: |When you fight for oil, you call that liberation and democracy.

When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you wanted rule of law for us.
( y) s9 M8 E  [3 GWhen we uphold law and order against violence, you call that violating human rights.

! m) [0 _' T  u' c8 x9 DWhen we were silent, you said you want us to have free speech.
4 g* S3 _! M4 b# E/ S! Q- J0 \5 iWhen we were silent no more, you say we are brainwashed racists.

“No,” you answered, “We don’t hate You.”

We don’t hate you either,

“Of course we do,” You said,
“We have NBC, CNN and BBCs…”

! T2 u' y, K5 YWe want one world, one dream, and peace on Earth.
This big blue Earth is big enough for all of Us.
