Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management
2 {6 y7 K" I! _, K1 d3 `Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
3 O) N  Q" U+ y3 rProvides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
5 l7 ]& K5 k. Y) BWorks within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
7 O' i8 }& r3 n. B6 V1 |& _Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
3 H, I, C) j/ NDevelops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
" Y1 o: F' _. `( u1 U  tDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
( u& n1 M3 y6 h4 S$ |/ {Designs, develops and implements MySQL relational databases
5 t5 I# l6 a  o* z* g& `9 iQualifications
Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
9 Z* a: J( ?% Y( R+ m3 V& v  S, ORecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
Minimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
3 U) E! L+ m: d4 OStrong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure
