Duties
) Q. _: p [* S: a, `) _4 EWorks within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
4 Q3 Q6 d5 l2 ]# f% oResponsible for specialization in workstation image management
6 A, F# _( p) O" jResponsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers6 K% [5 G- B8 x+ Y
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support9 r; f; Q* J4 |% L! D$ _
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
+ F0 [- P; O6 c* |Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System# D$ E8 V) J: n) Y$ l
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
" h+ a' p, V( j( xDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS3 l1 |& S# D% O8 `" F5 U
Designs, develops and implements MySQL relational databases
% T% X8 G9 F) n6 E. KQualifications; b% Y3 f W, _" n
Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
; }5 v) ~2 Z7 d( p) NRecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
9 c% s- @0 s9 UMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
, ]( X8 p: M% N! Z' N# `' i9 \" f0 ~Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)1 j* n7 ~' L# r8 r. H/ X; N# }! b
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills! g( u" L0 F' M" j1 o
Ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure
