- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.3 N7 [( N9 z! O# K1 d
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker5 k8 D+ d* p# L
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team8 g2 G' R, W+ ~8 q- l( \

- post secondary diploma
+ A8 l4 x& c6 i9 K8 _4 V) Q4 F- customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
9 l+ `- u( E, Z3 F- s3 F8 I5 B4 A$ ]- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
# c( W" t( ^8 H8 W; z1 I6 I- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services2 e# E6 P8 t. r' z7 H8 q; P& d
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
7 _( {& E4 x4 z& V `: J- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
( b4 X; ?7 j0 ^- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members- W8 f! u H m0 t( R K
- update ASSIST website0 a) L& |( y0 C5 \; ?; w: w
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre7 p j* @8 u ]8 |2 n+ l
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services x6 B( i/ y% Q: p
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
3 v8 f0 K- M$ @$ r& ^- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
+ Y) ]# d6 v8 |. B% I( Y* W- hold regular meetings with ISP team
7 }' U3 s# M* @9 j5 w2 j+ S2 w% ~$ C- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications& l# {' E3 y b; B- j$ U
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education . g Y9 D$ A( C& `7 z8 ?& x: Q$ \- W
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills5 R9 v1 f% S: [- W- A' N4 \
- experience in community work and immigrant services& b& A4 _( \2 O8 k1 w! d. F
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset5 q6 C/ z& v1 U
