Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.; x/ ?) f. V; C+ u% y, G
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
+ t2 d# u1 W# N4 D- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team* K* o7 q- C+ I

- post secondary diploma 6 }1 x r y, _7 S; r: b0 T
- customer service and office clerical experiences
7 _& F5 U3 \* F% w2 B9 e7 l1 a- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset; w' O3 q& ^( G& U) M

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
; q( k1 L( J3 X- W- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
, O! _: Z5 q( g- I- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
6 q5 T& v3 C7 q8 n5 g: s. t2 m- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies' I" W \" k0 k
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members7 x; A4 s Q3 {! w5 J9 F
- update ASSIST website# S9 M5 O/ p) T, x7 s1 s" p) O
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
( u. W9 J) Z: T- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services. E, [; l! C' g4 `; h4 v
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
7 g5 g/ S( f8 |, P9 b8 Y: _# ~- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
2 u. y, i# p$ t- hold regular meetings with ISP team
3 N9 T9 k% V m8 x! Y- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time$ ~/ d# a t! G$ r8 \

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

1 p- N0 r2 W9 r1 }6 C T5 [. N- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education - H# b* v D& T0 b: ]/ X
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 X R2 d- C: m0 \
- experience in community work and immigrant services- L+ J( Y) o$ y0 m6 o) [
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset" t# i$ N1 h5 Y/ X7 m
