Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

Job Description
( P/ a0 z7 Z" ]+ v0 X- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
3 J( d* K5 P' m4 z8 C2 G- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker- @( @0 g- {/ s& m- ^) n4 Y4 h
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team. _# ]& V0 \. n

Qualifications:, i- z" I# s' I2 j2 n7 }
- post secondary diploma

- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community& S4 ~1 O' a+ V( r, R
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services+ N" S7 L# f5 D- W$ E
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services) ]' H% C$ m+ E5 H6 H
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies( M4 z2 i3 T* O5 y* U
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
7 k, M' m; C, C1 L- update ASSIST website
6 A& h4 n% H5 }" e- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre2 q! G- I1 i+ i. H% Q
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
2 ~5 U5 M& r3 y# z& r& I; q. i- assist in writing proposal for ISP) f Q6 ?, e i
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP ?% M3 y1 c7 ^! j/ _% T% c) H
- hold regular meetings with ISP team; |7 e+ X$ A3 k. e; i/ [
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time( z: t5 z6 Q* ?) R
- update membership database, E6 L4 ]$ x% }( ?0 q0 Q! S0 P, B
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)5 j" A4 \% ]' O( k( x7 n, R+ Z; A

Qualifications4 d. q2 }) I: A
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
4 @3 }) i7 v' O6 @5 [) e- m8 M [- good oral and written Chinese and English skills$ }+ c7 p- v8 s
- experience in community work and immigrant services
