Job Description

- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker: a! \4 } J! [) X' w: ]+ G
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

3 M$ z" a+ ~) j* U, ~6 i- post secondary diploma

Job Description
$ X p5 s; a+ T! K9 p2 x- l- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
0 {" s+ t0 Z# F) v8 L& O- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
! V" j& j5 X. w/ }' b8 a5 Q1 A0 d- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
1 O, n: d+ L/ E: P; k! T- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies& M- r1 `; `9 n& ~; ] M1 B# V
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
1 Z* l# k1 f, c( N( ~; G+ I- update ASSIST website
! J6 q- V% t# t q% B- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
, b# c* U! ^+ m; R- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
3 @& d" V% s; ]( h- assist in writing proposal for ISP" ]) O1 |8 L0 D8 y2 C/ Q* c
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications0 |. O% t' u/ e( P7 R1 N( g
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
. M6 N3 f. P$ h) U; {- ?- ]: r- good oral and written Chinese and English skills7 Y2 h0 H" E: m, I7 w9 \
- experience in community work and immigrant services5 ?( Q" d/ n! J- |9 L: x8 z" h
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset" l0 V% @! b# f8 f
