Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
- I9 [) v8 I5 M) i4 q- h" o; i- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
) B% S. ^6 I, `! h& ~, o" z. T6 b- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
# Q* t) b' S7 _2 P* k: i* T- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team. i+ U7 _ | w! U' _

- post secondary diploma 1 P; p) L- `" `) C' a
- customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
1 O# C' z; P( N4 z1 R/ W- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community( R" f4 F H; g) z0 R" @
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services5 b+ L, ~3 ^; L# O
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
0 S8 I( y0 U& {7 h. P7 s4 s- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
; I" B( \( A9 l9 p; F- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members* H; E p; A H* T
- update ASSIST website) d3 ~& l6 I& c1 Q" q
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
6 [+ [4 X2 ^8 q- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
. O) h* W& @2 H7 O- assist in writing proposal for ISP% Q/ P' t" e% M0 l; q
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
& K" T) A* I. n I6 y- hold regular meetings with ISP team
5 V+ A$ f2 N$ {1 o! }6 D- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

/ s/ X( Q6 k* X- ^# c+ P2 w+ P- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education ! K; |4 {- L3 ^* _5 t& q
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills- L7 }- F) m, f$ O4 L
- experience in community work and immigrant services
