Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.; l$ P4 J& E. ]
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker9 I: I) v4 k4 Q6 u7 }- y7 S
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team! y* Z/ t5 U! [: ~9 U8 ?: p' h( Y

0 f2 M4 S8 y3 o4 ]: m0 J- post secondary diploma ( q/ C7 E& f; B' l2 G! E/ B- }/ p6 Z
- customer service and office clerical experiences
+ B$ I5 l$ x- T. G1 T: a- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset# F! x0 f* T" ?* r E

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community9 E& D% s3 Q/ ~3 @7 u& Q$ z
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services( F1 A9 e8 n H+ D9 x8 O
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services o- C- d6 D1 R# \
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
{- J* ~% m% N* {1 s9 A# c- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members# j0 |4 }8 M& z
- update ASSIST website
7 p& w4 G7 e; Z& |5 P5 d, {3 }- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
6 R. t% A1 d G* \- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
0 G' @ X8 D G6 S7 n- assist in writing proposal for ISP
+ c1 g+ [6 y c- write quarterly and final reports for ISP! o: R7 Z! R/ G" b: [
- hold regular meetings with ISP team( `8 M- a4 J! b: ]
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time0 i( v( H9 v0 k7 p/ U% d
- update membership database T2 A8 `, `4 v! n# H' V8 x) B w
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)! z |+ J7 b# Z% G& t
8 ?- ]7 z( I( eQualifications
( C0 ]- z5 @- |- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
' X( F* g, v3 i- good oral and written Chinese and English skills0 i! G2 X6 X! D; F
- experience in community work and immigrant services
2 J+ M7 D9 L9 d$ f* X- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
