烤蛋糕

• 1/2 cup butter

; p( t4 x- F, a* ?3 ]9 L• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (if you like the flavor, otherwise, none)" h) H) j/ t; F
• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour or all purpose flour (former is better)# N7 O! x. I* w- R5 C% V& Q
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder ( _! h# Q$ p" V9 @
• 4 eggs, well beaten/ L+ U6 J8 Y' K. @1 d. t

: G; d* A1 ]! p4 z5 ]Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
/ ?; d# C, E. y- U% }8 }' zTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
I. j) P" Y0 k! ?# p, gBake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.; O; w. k6 O1 u2 e5 H) E% B. Y

这是yellow cake,我最喜欢的,又简单。ingredients 我一般比较严格执行,否则变味,但是我通常要把糖的用量减至3/4到2/3,洋人用糖量太大,太甜了。但如果你认为cake mix的甜度适合你的口味,就用上述的量。% e& w' U4 h0 t* b; f
beating,要用mixer, 一般的$10左右的hand mixer 就可以。烤蛋糕,面包,或做土豆泥等都用得上。

检查是否烤熟的办法: 用牙签插一下cake中间,若没有什么粘在牙签上就熟了。 |
