  First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
) {& z! `! ^4 s/ k0 N6 g cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
- j; e% R$ t1 K( K( _! V this broad land.
* U% l' M5 X+ l+ X# S" U" R$ `
5 P( h) s" N. ~2 mWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
( K; U6 s  c( k% Z: \  g. I contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
' d4 J0 F& O  L$ s* A% ? talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
  L6 l5 z9 k9 P performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
% @) ?. a+ n6 q* f7 y9 r8 n, y ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a
lot of fun, like what we did before.
& G2 B4 d' h! C$ I, `
" j; l; w# O- }7 ^0 b1 OAs far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
3 e" M8 h' A4 P1 j5 N& L# o" k" D stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
" U9 W5 J/ j+ Q9 \, C8 i" y program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
  F8 N( Y' w* f; x comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since
/ C1 L  u/ l0 n- \4 W, T  P CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.

Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
# W2 n, ~5 U& Z on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
