First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
3 S& T6 f1 a, y) n+ b( ? of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the ~. o1 U5 V7 z h/ C$ U' j( V ]" _
eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
# ?( _5 J o! w# R# Z cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
; @! O! D' j4 m/ T customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
8 p# I0 Y" O3 O. r) m& R2 h this broad land.3 l$ l% S6 C5 z# i( V0 L4 O6 V
# h5 l9 O. l$ ?& N" B/ D- p- r
We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
" M% t+ t8 M ] contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and: s/ V& u0 G8 u1 p* D5 t- e
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in4 w! R7 E+ \& ~3 m# B* a
performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
; x, J! O8 n) ]$ P3 } ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in# ?$ i' P- v' J9 ?
Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a

9 S; H! S1 v: X8 I. F sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
" d, V. t7 X0 Y# a! j3 w$ F9 B) y stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any, p% {8 m# R) C/ x5 p* H6 I( s' n) v
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
" m. r0 x0 P( S- {5 p' }8 M program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
$ W& m' U0 q- g9 I* t6 @2 l comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since
9 [7 C' y; B* V* n" D CSSA executives want to have a show collectively." }5 m& I! R% n9 N

Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
$ z6 I8 [, r& w6 ?, K; h on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
