8 }6 I( k2 c* Q& i. }: bPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team.

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
' m; H& ~; X6 Q! Z/ _- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services

- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members* A" e$ c0 d% p' p% A. N2 s3 j- e
- submit information for community news ( r! Y t, [+ {4 U. m
- prepare and send AGM information to members
9 \3 C, E1 n6 x- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.+ o, K) h' e3 j) G
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre: Y. h5 s+ G! |$ `( G. o
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services' k5 d2 c$ i1 s5 z+ S
- assist in writing proposal for ISP8 O+ E$ ?# g. K3 J$ f0 |& |
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP3 @$ ^8 y5 Y, v" e* ]
- explore new ideas for ISP 4 K: h6 } A6 R! S$ o) _1 P/ u
- hold regular meetings with ISP team' p, t0 |! H- |! G8 m
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
