• reports directly to the Board of Directors

• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

Programs/Services
* \9 q# @$ h3 o' C. i" v/ o3 w• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services& \1 \7 k7 s: k+ l6 q: y
• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities. S6 L$ C3 c: j
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders& _- R' O: a. f, \1 {+ q, c
• set program priorities and directions
; y* w; m/ i; Y; N• identify community and user needs and trends
; L6 L# J; n; H6 v) O& f• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
+ h* j, C4 @0 n; z+ i• conduct program evaluation/survey/research$ ~3 Q' H1 m6 w
• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities7 e. U- k+ |+ _" o: z, _- q
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders6 ^0 |" \7 [& w/ T+ L' }! D+ v4 s# k
• communicate the value of the organization to the public
) ^3 U( `. C U& s$ |' u• identify community needs and trends5 |, w* R! W' N N: L
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
9 L) m3 K, i+ M; j8 P• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
0 B8 J5 W& n9 [( G• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.6 u2 J! U# w8 \9 ?3 T
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications& \9 {% v' \: U' @, G5 n. A8 n2 e" j4 H
- University degree in a related field;
: C0 n% v1 C g/ V/ |7 }- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
% m# @, B0 [4 p Z- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
. J) I- j6 M P/ U/ T5 L- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization " l' _' c6 F+ {/ L" M) V& I& g5 ?' D
! N: C6 r0 N5 k E* [1 Q3 ?1 Z' s7 wSalary7 ^' s; a; ?9 J
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 2 o7 p( H; a( _. |' A( v( B
