• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

• is accountable for effective administration of agency

• develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions$ v( [6 b& m7 X2 ~1 V
• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• meet with staff on regular basis+ x3 ?! u# u" c3 X& B/ R4 r
• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff( `* _+ y; |. j4 c2 J: k& q

• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• build on knowledge of community resources in program development
. B n8 n( A: H. F• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

n/ D9 P; l }• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities/ g; O# g# d% L& ]2 c
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
7 q, B' n* `, L% ]$ [• communicate the value of the organization to the public
! d* Z2 e5 v3 v. d0 L# Q v• identify community needs and trends
* B) ]6 d4 X- @# B& R• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
, N2 J, E- O& V2 @. g• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups& n/ z @% g+ V' q
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

% n* [% N' Z7 Y2 mQualifications- E0 C7 I' O- G9 H- |4 U& t5 J) o
- University degree in a related field;
7 j8 e0 }1 y, \* V- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
; E; G+ x; j- g' p8 g2 J3 q- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
* f1 v8 M6 N( @& u% T( q- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
