• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

Programs/Services

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
# r2 }+ z5 ^# X4 a) {4 \• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends# U$ x5 k E) J* B; G$ a& h
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups$ _. r; B9 |: p; M! {+ I' i
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
7 D: n$ Y- L8 _8 o: q6 M' p• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

Qualifications" Q/ A: Z6 A# X
- University degree in a related field; 5 `, S5 z) K4 ~2 `, Q4 f; i
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;& Y, n5 Z6 R- R9 @$ P8 T6 x
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
9 r, n' ~/ v9 W; w$ ]- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
& Y, j+ e/ Z1 Y# u

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
