Senior Agency/Program Manager

Board
* d5 K) @" o, @) n0 i6 Q' D) A•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
- U( O! S; ~& A6 K: |•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
3 h1 j5 I+ M1 r8 l0 x& C1 w# Y6 E•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
& Z0 _1 ]5 W3 T•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        is accountable for effective administration of agency

•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures" g& G# q- P. I) w
•        development and management of the programs budget+ |; j6 ^7 U5 V
•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets0 _/ ?; \1 p7 _1 I( O

•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions' R$ }9 x9 i' K- p
•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
' v) n) e* G6 r6 l+ P•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
  y" I& e: j, S9 W; x•        meet with staff on regular basis. ~2 F+ O' }1 T# h% r! j6 Y  [
•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff' w5 I; }2 t' x0 Y% W  @

* a7 @8 Y" U3 N; k1 b* {•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
9 ?+ P3 n. h$ `•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities' r, e& i' L! L. c* m; B9 a9 B
•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders2 q4 R9 c: H( K8 R8 G( `1 {$ X" v
•        set program priorities and directions 7 @5 l  A) M1 N8 x2 L4 Q7 D2 ?7 u
•        identify community and user needs and trends5 t: U5 W+ K+ V" H4 N* |* l" e: ?
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends( S: A5 F$ w) x* j" f
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research& L1 r1 ^6 J  L
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting

•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development$ p: ]2 s$ P( m- A1 G8 H
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others' ]* N1 N2 M9 a" [* d

•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities) B; f* ]9 J3 D4 g
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
  z7 x  Q# [# W6 e8 Q. g1 N  m) [•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
; V1 Y) O- X& d* \& E+ {•        identify community needs and trends4 Q8 g9 x/ ~! a$ {
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
( H- S/ I7 f1 N; u3 `: k•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
3 g4 K# d! r  _. J8 P) |# ?) E•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
6 \' Y6 a( T; U2 G•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
# u9 z; [! N: R( X/ g6 {
  W! J* u4 Q& ^1 o0 e  gQualifications: Y1 Y- ?9 \5 |
-        University degree in a related field; . o3 q# N8 z3 G
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;; A; |9 T5 S" |6 L4 C
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
/ }* `$ G9 \! [% R-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
7 F$ l& {+ [! h( Y
; d9 X" g& B% Z( K( E+ C1 aSalary! J0 {" o! p& f% Z& K
-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits & P$ R9 s4 i3 e3 z- q$ j$ \8 @
