• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends/ i" j i1 d" L5 J5 E3 S9 S4 G
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends) B B8 s3 G& Y8 i( n8 E- \# k* ^% H+ y

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• communicate the value of the organization to the public: R+ B: c* m- w ~: v9 V; A# p
• identify community needs and trends/ c: P# }! U# R7 H/ [1 T8 u
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups4 f: A2 t( |! l- Z# M
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups j7 n$ [! a! H
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems." v: i7 x) ~; K S. K& V, X* U; b
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

$ @ J0 s; N0 j% N, U* _' o0 ]- University degree in a related field; 8 A, _6 K5 t; X& m
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
% Z7 i0 }- C! Y9 r) |# J) ]- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
* K& x' |! c; P& ^' ~; l- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
