Praetorian Construction Management is a Project Management firm specializing in Construction Management for the Mining Industry in Western Canada. We are seeking full time Civil and Mechanical Engineers, Field Engineers, Commissioning Engineers/Specialists and Construction Superintendents for our projects currently underway at the Diavik Diamond mines in the NWT. The project is camp based with a two week in and two weeks off site schedule.

The specific duties for Field Engineers both Civil and Mechanical/electrical:

Participation with the development of Site Technical Specifications with the Design Engineers, i6 e3 @, `7 Z/ M7 W
Quantity Progress monitoring of the contractors and reporting 7 ^, V1 q) F0 c2 y$ ?; J1 o
Progress billing monitoring and audits of contractors6 q3 V! o* m- G* h6 u" @
Construction schedule updates with a reporting roll up to the client’s master project schedule. ! @2 b$ o! t$ c- j: R
Participation in the management of the Site Safety Systems

Coordination between construction and the mine operating groups

Monitor schedules

! j, ]0 N# \" nThe company provides you flights between Edmonton and the mine, and food and accommodation in the mine. You work 2 weeks and take 2 weeks off. So virtually you only work less than 6 month a year. Depending on your qualifications, your income is about 60,000 to 100,000 a year plus benefit and 8%-12% bonus.
